AJ v Usyk
Confirmed for Saturday August 20th in Saudi Arabia purely for supporter reasons and nothing to do with the money.
Hopefully AJ wins this time round so undisputed with Fury can actually happen.

Re: AJ v Usyk
I think Usyk will win again, putting to bed any slim chance of an AJ vs Fury fight.

If I’m getting punched in the head by one of the best in the world, I’ll go to where I can earn the most money, really winds me up when those that have never boxed try to tell a man who’s risking his life, where he should box.

Usyk easy win.
I still think AJ Fury will happen, there'll be more interest, so more money, from the British pov, than Usyk Fury.

Re: AJ v Usyk
Usyk looks like a heavyweight this time.
I hope AJ is getting paid well for his last fight at this level

Re: AJ v Usyk
other than Usyk and Fury, who beats AJ then?
But he’s finished at this level….

He has a choice , many people in Saudi don’t have that luxuryBurnley1989 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 7:50 pmIf I’m getting punched in the head by one of the best in the world, I’ll go to where I can earn the most money, really winds me up when those that have never boxed try to tell a man who’s risking his life, where he should box.

Surely AJ will try and use his size advantage more this time. Not sure what him and his team were thinking last time out with his tactics, almost like he thought he could outbox Usyk.

Re: AJ v Usyk
Maybe not, but he can punch, and AJ doesn’t like being punched. He likes to hit his opponents and watch them fall. When they don’t, his arse falls out.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 9:28 pmChris Wilder?
Because that man over in states has never seen a boxer.
Wilder beats AJ.

Re: AJ v Usyk
Exactly this.
AJ tried Boxing Usyk last time and got picked apart and borderline bullied.
I don't think AJ recovers from any of the punches Fury got up from.

Wilder definitelyBurnley1989 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:53 pmother than Usyk and Fury, who beats AJ then?

Joe Joyce probably
Michael Hunter possibly
I'm not sure if you want me to keep going?
Re: AJ v Usyk
Also, Usyk and Fury are the pinnacle at the heavyweight division.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:53 pmother than Usyk and Fury, who beats AJ then?

Beyond those 2, he will be fighting people at the also ran level.
Hence he will be finished at this level

Re: AJ v Usyk
Oh I agree about AJ not wanting to be hit, and AJ isn't the most technical boxer.
But on a points decision with no K.Os, AJ is streets ahead of Wilder and both have a punchers chance in a bout as well.
Usyk Vs Fury is the one. See if Fury can box against a real technical boxer.
Fury gets hit far more than he used too and I don't think he could cope with Usyk. He tied AJ up in knots.

Re: AJ v Usyk
I think Fury’s size and weight advantage would be a real problem for usyk. I like usyk, he’s technically very good and has heart. Coupled with a very poor game plan from AJ’s team he looked very good against a bigger man, but I think Fury has far too much experience for him. He’ll tie him up and lean on him sapping his strength. Fury has a long game too, for a really big lad he’s got miles in his legs, and the heart of a lion. He looked beat against wilder but showed his will to win by getting up and winning.
I think Fury and Usyk are the two best in the big division, and I think Fury can take him.

Re: AJ v Usyk
AJs resume is padded with 2 names from a yesteryear and some others who were artificially bumped up the rankings by said promoter to pass the fight of as a legitimate fight to milk money.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:53 pmother than Usyk and Fury, who beats AJ then?

AJ does have good attacking combinations and punches hard with decent hand speed for his size but has no gas tank and no heart. Once he’s buzzed he really doesn’t like it and doesn’t know what to do. He’s also very rigid and slow moving.
As for who I think would beat AJ currently.
Fury, Usyk ( again ) Wilder, Ortiz, Hunter
Other possibilities include, Joyce, Bakole, Hughie Fury.
Re: AJ v Usyk
Fury had now called out AJ for a title fight for WBC and Linear titles this year. He basically said if AJ wants it to get in touch. A lifeline for AJ or the end of his career?

AJ won’t risk it I think, and Fury knows it
