Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
No mate. It’s a conversation about our current goalkeepers and whether we should be looking to bring a new one in in this TRANSFER window, and whether they would be our number one. Trust that helps.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Calling us a tinpot club etc, continuously saying he’s 12m+ or nothing (despite actual journos saying it’s 6-9m), basically denying all the reports from respected journalists that talks are advanced. Though I guess it’s only like our fans saying we should have got 40m for Pope etc.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 12:40 pmOdd in what way?
They see him as their most creative and best player, naturally they don't want to lose him
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
Apparently Burnley would expect £15M (yes fifteen million!) for McNeil from palace or WH… Sky presenter said it incredulously, hence the sarcasm…
If Dwight goes it has to be for more than £15M surely

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
We need to hold on to McNeil.
Enough have been sold now (bar Cornet, who will go), we need to be keeping the remaining starting players from last season that we have in my opinion (i.e, McNeil, Roberts, Taylor, Brownhill).

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I think if we get between 15-20 for Dwight and the same for Cornet then those are deals that need to be done.
Vincent Kompany will have replacements ready to come in, and it puts us 50-60m in profit.
If Pace even gave him half of that to spend then we should be in good shape to create a very productive Championship team.
Even though the majority of people think it should be.. the target IS NOT to get promoted this season, it would be a bonus, and that is something VK said in his very first interview when he took over.
We are rebuilding our squad and changing direction completely.
Patience is going to be needed.

I don't see why nobody seems to be able to grasp that fees and down in this window, and nobody is going for what they would have been worth pre-covid.RVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 12:53 pmCalling us a tinpot club etc, continuously saying he’s 12m+ or nothing (despite actual journos saying it’s 6-9m), basically denying all the reports from respected journalists that talks are advanced. Yes outwith the really rich clubs there's not many big money moves happening, just maybe football is coming to it's senses financially at long last, and the days of fairly average players going for more than they are actually worth is finally coming to an end.UpTheClaretsFCBK wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 1:32 pmI don't see why nobody seems to be able to grasp that fees and down in this window, and nobody is going for what they would have been worth pre-covid.

If we can get 35 to 40 million for Cornet & Mcneil we will take it .
Much as I would like us to keep Cornet
We need it to fund the clubs financial
stability going forward and the rebuild .

Bit confused as he is Polish and no means yes in his native tongue, not sure if he was answering in English or Polish so will have to say maybe / maybe not

But the word ‘relegated’ means ‘win the championship’ in Polish so this really needs clarification.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 2:34 pmI asked my mate will we be relegated and he said no.

We have been desperate for a right footed attacking wide midfielder and have played JBG, Hendrick, Brownhill, McNeil and Cornet there. The latter two are left sided players, the other 3 were not effective there

Where has anyone said promotion is definitely happening ? I would say most are bored not rattled, it is like you go out your way to be negative about anything, why do it ? Even in stunning weather you sit there miserable.

I said we are selling all of our premier league quality talent - just a true statement
Then someone else mentioned relegation and rebuffed that saying promotion chances are fading based on these sales. What exactly is so radical there
