Fairly certain that I used the Collect option last season.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 1:31 amDoes anyone know why you can no longer order tickets online to collect at the ticket office?
I always used to prefer ordering to collect as there is no chance of them getting lost in the post, but that option has been missing for the last 2 seasons. Is there a good reason for this?

Only seems to be selling
Season cards only on the Huddersfield site at the minute-I’m doing the same buying home tickets so I can go.I’m not worried it won’t sell out in the home ends so even I if I go down on the day I will get a couple.

If anyone changes their mind/can’t go, I am looking to buy two - ideally an adult & child but 2 adults is fine. Will pay above face value.

I know it's the first game under Kompany with an almost new team and the first game of the season also a local game , but I'm surprised this game has fully sold out in under 22hrs to 6k points holder's only with it being on a Friday night, on sky and in the school holidays, this must be a first all the ticket's sold to 6k point's holder's

A few times last season aways were showing as sold out when it meant they had sold the ones added to the system and following morning more were available. If you are still waiting for a ticket I would check again around 9ishClaretMov wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 8:44 amI know it's the first game under Kompany with an almost new team and the first game of the season also a local game , but I'm surprised this game has fully sold out in under 22hrs to 6k points holder's only with it being on a Friday night, on sky and in the school holidays, this must be a first all the ticket's sold to 6k point's holder's

Quite shocked myself, especially given the Friday, on Sky, School holidays point. I’m hoping we get similar demand for home tickets and fill the Turf up this year. Good effort though.ClaretMov wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 8:44 amI know it's the first game under Kompany with an almost new team and the first game of the season also a local game , but I'm surprised this game has fully sold out in under 22hrs to 6k points holder's only with it being on a Friday night, on sky and in the school holidays, this must be a first all the ticket's sold to 6k point's holder's
I’ll go Watford then annoyingly on holiday for Wigan away, which’s have been another I’d like to have gone to.

Yes, gutted. I have over 9,000 points but I go with my lad so we were waiting until today. He has 5,950 points!!!!
No complaints though those are the rules, but I do wonder how many people are using other peoples points to get tickets.

There might be another 1k fans with over 6k points this year after their new ST points went on?ClaretMov wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 8:44 amI know it's the first game under Kompany with an almost new team and the first game of the season also a local game , but I'm surprised this game has fully sold out in under 22hrs to 6k points holder's only with it being on a Friday night, on sky and in the school holidays, this must be a first all the ticket's sold to 6k point's holder's
It went to 6k 5 years ago. They raised it as too many had 4k?
5 seasons worth of STs and 25 other games in that period will have raised you up.

Many things wrong with the system.
If we are sticking with the current system though, the first priority threshold needs increasing ASAP though, Its been 6000 points for years.

Re: 2022/23: Huddersfield Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
It's about time they printed names on adult tickets with proof of id required. I have 7k plus points, but chap I usually go with has less than 5k.That would definitely make the points system work. Perhaps photos on season tickets with said season tickets as proof of I'd. There has to be a better system in place to improve allocation of away tickets to ensure loyalty counts. Also perhaps allocating a proportion of tickets (say 15%,) to younger supporters who have as yet have not got 6000 points.

They tried the ID thing for Aberdeen, ( arguably our biggest away game in 50 years ) and it did not work.Gibbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 9:37 amIt's about time they printed names on adult tickets with proof of id required. It is not a criminal offence to buy a ticket for someone as a gift, nor is it an offence to pass one on whether that be free or face value, should you no longer be able to attend.
It's just one of those things, some will always miss out, and only those that do want it changing, those that succeed, have no kids to take on etc, have no reason to get it changed, in fact it could mean they miss out in future, so why would they.
There's a group of 20 I know going, of them 6 haven't even got season tickets, and 1 is a Man Utd "fan"
Anyone who ever wants a ticket enough will always get one.

Completely agree with all that, I always know I’ll get a ticket for Burnley, England etc off someone if I really want one. I know that’s selfish by the way, I just make sure I ask the right people.MACCA wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:20 amThey tried the ID thing for Aberdeen, ( arguably our biggest away game in 50 years ) and it did not work.

If you are friendly enough with a supporters club to get away tickets, then I suggest you will go to a lot of away games.Les Lawrence wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 3:52 pmMy 2 sons have missed our on this one, one has 6000,points.Someone I know is taking someone to the game, who has no season ticket, and goes to a couple of games a season. ******* out of order, suppose it depends on which supporters club you travel with

Man Utd do it where they select people at random and they have to collect tickets on the day with ID to stop them getting into the wrong hands.MACCA wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:20 amThey tried the ID thing for Aberdeen, ( arguably our biggest away game in 50 years ) and it did not work.

They made us collect them in Istanbul and Athens too and it was fine. Show up, show ID and get your ticket.
The point system needs updating to be a rolling system of 2/3 seasons, that’s probably the fairest way of doing it in my opinion.

The FA also do it for England away games. You have to collect your match ticket either the day before or on the day of the game with photo ID in the city where England are playing.1989_claret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 4:18 pmMan Utd do it where they select people at random and they have to collect tickets on the day with ID to stop them getting into the wrong hands.

I'm not suggesting that Burnley do that because it wouldn't be workable, but there are obviously other options to distribute/sell tickets for away games.
A rolling loyalty points scheme would enable younger fans to catch up on loyalty points.
It has been mentioned previously though, this problem only arises for big games or local derbies.
It always seemed to rear it's head when we played at Old Trafford.

Clarets at Hudders with less than 6000 points
I have 4600 points and did the right thing by waiting until 10am today. SOLD OUT. There is no way that all those who have got tickets have 6000 points. I went to every game in the 2015-16 championship season and have only missed a few games since then, including European tour. Very upset that I have to miss out on with this one. Home end it is then. Anyone else in a similar situation ??

I am not 100% sure but I have a supporters club allowed to buy my ticket on my account, but they only buy it when I am booked on the coach.
It may have changed again, not sure.
But it an issue buying tickets through the supporters clubs and not getting your 10 points for going.
There will be people with more knowledge, but things changed from when supporters clubs could just buy away tickets.

Counts for little the away games attended it's the season ticket that gets the points. I have over 8000 and have had a season ticket for over 50 years so I deserve to pick and choose.

Emailed the club to see we'd collect the tickets rather than receive them in the post. Go to the ticket office, wait 20 minutes and get told they have made a 'genuine mistake' and got put in the wrong pile so have been sent in the post
Anyone received theirs in the post yet? Know there were issues with the post yesterday so hopefully arrive tomorrow.

I was a little surprised to see Haffners pies offering 2 pairs of tickets for this game on Friday.
How did they get them? Are they sponsors?
If it's workers with 6k points who got them you would think they would want to go?

I have ordered 9 for all the people on my friends and family who wanted to go and because of the rediculous restriction that you can't order more than 6 at once had to split over two orders and pay two lots of postage.
I received the first 5 today so am hoping the remaining 4 arrive tomorrow !!
