Brilliant watch. I feel a documentary coming soon
Re: First Week of Training vid
Nothing but good vibes from the club at the min, hope it translates onto the pitch, good stuff
Re: First Week of Training vid
Bloody hell Kompany is some unit. He seems to get bigger every time I see a picture or video of him.

Exactly what I felt re the documentary. Loving the behind the scenes stuff we’ve had over the last few weeks.
Re: First Week of Training vid
Me and my 9 year old daughter loved that. When she saw Vincent walking through the sliding doors and nearly touching the top of the door she said "Daddy, has he stopped growing yet. "

Is that massive bloke with him, as they enter the complex, his minder?
Re: First Week of Training vid
I think he must be, but he is big in the stomach also. Kompany is just one big straight up unit.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:12 pmIs that massive bloke with him, as they enter the complex, his minder?

Re: First Week of Training vid
He was at Anderlecht with Kompany and is described as an assistant. It read like he basically did lots of things around the club, driver, kit man, put the cones out etc. Apparently the players loved him but his role was a bit random.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:12 pmIs that massive bloke with him, as they enter the complex, his minder?
Love the video, we really have come a long way in a very short space of time with our social media.

Say what you want about The previous owners and Dyche but the one thing that stood out to me on that video is we have a truly top class set up.
Makes your proud to be a Burnley fan. That’s the legacy Dyche and co have left behind

Who knows what the future holds but if you aren't excited for the season then I honestly don't think football is for you.

Good watch is that video, enjoyed it and look forward to seeing more.
Re: First Week of Training vid
Vincemt Kompany is such an inspirational figure IMHO, I can see us doing great things. He really wants to play really good football and gets us and our financial limitations.
Really excited for the start of the season.

Good investment and decisions made for sure.
Re: First Week of Training vid
Agree, the facilities are outstanding. If you have a sec, google Hull’s training ground and compare it to ours.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 10:38 pmSay what you want about The previous owners and Dyche but the one thing that stood out to me on that video is we have a truly top class set up.

I reckon ours is probably up there with best in this league.

It's brilliant to get so much behind the scenes content. Agree re the documentary... are we the next Amazon Prime/Sunderland 'till I die?
Re: First Week of Training vid
It’s a standard thing these days for clubs to produce this type of content. Man City have been doing it for over 10 years. I guess it was just something Dyche wasn’t in favour of.

Re: First Week of Training vid
First time I have watched a you tube video from BFC all the way through and that was excellent.
Slightly apprehensive about the new season due to our last venture with a top ex Pro. When Waddle managed the club it ended in near disaster, but I realise the club is now at a completely different level than then.
The old guard was getting stail and one dimensional and a change was what was required, now lets hope Kompany and Co can deliver

Great video, really enjoyed that.
Do they only have a darts board though? No pool table, table tennis, Xboxes, etc? Also, is there a pool?

Re: First Week of Training vid
I know what you mean, but the difference is that we were Waddle's first job. He simp!y wasn't cut out for it, hence he's never managed since.Top Claret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 8:35 amFirst time I have watched a you tube video from BFC all the way through and that was excellent.

Hope not. No issue with stuff like this which is an interesting look behind the scenes but I hope there’s no ‘warts and all’ post game dressing room stuff or anything.blake's wand wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 8:16 amIt's brilliant to get so much behind the scenes content. Re: Pre-season uncut
Just watched the first 30 seconds so far and felt compelled to say, what a difference to how Chris Waddle addressed the squad in his first speech.
I was going to comment on the Chris Waddle thread from Tony’s article the other day about how excited I was to see Chris Waddle in the managers seat. He was one of my favourite players as a youngster and thought we’d hit the jackpot, how little did I know.
Waddle was so talented, and achieved so much, but in terms of winning trophies, I suspect (although I haven’t checked) that Kompany won more.
The stark contrast of, and I paraphrase, Waddle telling the Burnley squad that they are all rubbish and they’ve never achieved anything, and Kompany saying how proud and privileged he is to be here.
I look forward to the rest of the video.

Would love it, really enjoyed the Sunderland one, gave great insight. Although it was probably more exciting because they were awful.

Great video and we've certainly got a young diverse squad now . Barnes needs to go , nobody should need 3 darts to get double 16 !!

Fair play to the previous owners for their investment into our training centre they have given us an advantage on the rest of the championship clubs when competing for the players signiture as proved the case with the lad from MK
Re: Pre-season uncut
Did I catch Dwight say we are getting a lime green kit at the end of the month?

Re: Pre-season uncut
Thanks to the OP for posting this.
I missed it being posted on Friday, a very pleasing watch and as previous posters have said, the legacy left by Dyche, Garlick and Kilby etc etc is a first class training ground. Which can only add to the selling point that hiring Vincent Kompany as.
We are so far away from the players changing at Turf Moor for training at Gawthorpe, much needed developments but top class as well.

What a shame about the kit, with our new young team a bit of fluorescent would have been perfect to go with our “stand out” play.

Re: Pre-season uncut
I see VK encouraging Dwight to use his right foot in training.
"use your right foot Dwight. Go on give me one pass with your right "
"see you use your right foot once and you nutmeg someone"
Love it.
