Can we re-establish Turf Moor as a fortress this season ?
Was a major contribution to our last 2 seasons we have played in the championship - will it be easy to do that ? talking more about those tight games or games we don't play particularly well - so important to grind games out in a high percentage of a 46 game championship season.

A ground becomes a fortress when the fans are fully behind a team and usually when the team are winning and/or playing good football.
Kompany and the team need to hit the ground running quite simply.

I hope so!
I hope like the previous poster said we can make it a fortress in terms of atmos with hopefully a revitalised optimism for our new players and manager.
The new incumbents have the perfect ground/facilities to thrive in what was a healthy premier league environment.
It might be a bit bumpy in terms of results before it becomes an actual fortress, results wise, but we can create the former version ourselves within the stands. The latter, thats down to the players.
Cant wait.

15 wins in each of those two seasons at home but 11 wins away in each of them which I would say was the major contribution. To win 42 points on the road in each of those seasons was a big factor.kenyon6923 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 3:43 pmWas a major contribution to our last 2 seasons we have played in the championship - will it be easy to do that ? talking more about those tight games or games we don't play particularly well - so important to grind games out in a high percentage of a 46 game championship season.

lots of derbies so the atmosphere should be good in those, it's when the likes of Reading visit the fans have to step up

Possibly.
Also distinctly possible that it'll be turned into a mausoleum should the results not match expectations.

Playing positive football always helps the atmosphere -
If we get off to a good start then I see no reason why not!

Agree we were excellent at grinding results and particularly the champion winning season seemed to have momentum virtually the whole season.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 4:15 pm15 wins in each of those two seasons at home but 11 wins away in each of them which I would say was the major contribution. "If you can't bang a woman bang a drum" the Chant at Huddersfield in the 23 23 undefeated Championship winning season springs to mind ...

It may well be a fortress if the new season ticket cards don't work.
