I appreciate it's good for people who can't/don't go to games but I did think one of the positives of relegation would be playing at 3 on a Saturday. What a bloody pain.

Four out of five away games being shown on TV is ace for those who can't/won't travel.

FFS. These evening games are a real irritant. I don’t finish work until around half 4-5 on a Friday and then it’s an hour+ drive.

I guess we’re Sky’s new favourite. Vincent Kompany’s Burnley.

Even worse when you run a pub quiz on Friday nights 😠

I bloody hate Friday night football, spoils the rest of the weekend.

Out of curiosity how do the payments work in the Championship, is there a set fee for each game, and how much?

It was £100,000 for home teams and £10,000 for away teams. It's been posted on this thread by Quickenthetempo which I've just updated.

Bosscat, where do you run your quis now? I went past the Boar's Head a couple of weeks ago and it looked distinctly closed. Have you transferred to the Maypole or something?

You'll have to sack it off BC. Come on, you know you'd rather be drinking watered down Carling on the Turf over that Real Ale shite. ;) :D

Was going to come up with some of my Norwich mates for a night stop but this throws a spanner in the works.

I might consider travelling down for the Norwich match now, it'll involve an overnight stay, but at least I'll be able to journey at a more reasonable time.

Of course the big unknown is whether the blessed trains will be running or not, coach might have to be an option in that case.

I can't work out if it's because we're now seen as a big fish in this league, or whether it's the VK factor, but we are definitely a darling of Sky all of a sudden aren't we.

Just booked my tickets for Norwich, and managed to find a cheaper alternative to the stupid trains, coach is far cheaper, and probably more reliable presently.

That will likely be my last visit for a while, certainly until after Christmas anyway. So hope we can put on a show that night.

I booked a train up for the weekend of the Norwich game but thankfully I booked Friday lunchtime. Train back is Thursday so will be able to take in the Preston game as well as my Dad's 78th birthday.
