Need a quick striker making intelligent runs when a team is sat in so deep

They are playing exactly like we did in the Pl under Dyche

As soon as Cullen or Cork get the ball they are on to them, not allowing a build-up.

We played quick one touch last week. We are too slow today so they can sit back. Too easy for them.

Change it up at half time. Vitinho on for Costelloe. Just a shame we have no out and out goalscorer.

Hudds were awful and let us play. We're not finding it half as easy against a side that's actually turned up. Missing a number 10 today imo.

Maybe I was being harsh on Costelloe. Vitinho for Bastien.

Stick Costelloe upfront with Barnes and get Benson wide right. Bastien off. Been so easy for Luton against the lone striker

HT.
Poor show, really. On the back foot from the off and not able to really impose ourselves on the game.
Much better required in the second half.

Cullen & Cork aren't dominating the midfield like last week, we aren't creating many chances. I like Muric though

Can't break them down at the moment. Bit predictable. Need some strong movement and threat up top.

Its not just a goal scorer we need but a striker who can do a bit of everything to help link the play together in the last third.

Barnes is too one dimensional and whilst he's a good battler and has a great shot on him his touch, movement and vision is well off the pace for the quick pass and move style of play Kompany wants us to play

Strange half there.

Costelloe our best and brightest player so far.

Everyone else is struggling under the pressure of the Luton defence.

Barnes has got to be replaced looks too slow and it’s causing our attacks to be ineffective on the break

Do we bring Benson on at HT? I’d consider putting Costelloe up there with Barnes and Benson on the right. Bastien off maybe.

Agreed. He could perhaps be a part of this squad off the bench but generally we need someone the type you mention in the first paragraph.

Benson doing an individual warm up at HT, not with the other subs. Might see him quickly after HT.

Totally agree. Ideally Barnes would be an option off the bench from us rather than a starter

They look solid and god on the break amazing achievement to come back from non league to the play offs last season.

We need to cut them open somehow.

Sticking to my pre-match.

I'd sub Costello and (through no fault) Cullen for Benson and Vitinho/Twine as wingers and go 433. Need Bastien/Brownhill for the energy. Give Barnes 10-15 mins as he's done well then if no luck bring Twine or Vitinho on, Twine false 9 Vitinho wide.

They're forcing us wide which we can't deal with, we don't have the height for crosses or pace and width to get in behind. Then they hit us on the break pumping it long spreading wide then crossing. Bullying us. 433 gets us wider and forces them into either playing through central congestion zones or long punts.
