Bearing in mind if they fail to win at West Ham you're out of the competition, would you still pick them though?Cubanforever wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 9:49 pmBecause they looked very good against Newcastle and now I know the play West Ham I still think they could easily win
I'm going for either Spurs (home to wolves) or Chelsea (away to Leeds) - I think???

Sometimes late evening I flick through the foreign news chans on Sky tv.
Was onto France 24 last night and they were showing the massive forest fires in SW France.
The guy said, without smiling and with a serious voice, that althoughthe fire fighters were getting on top ofthe situation, they weren't out of the woods yet.

When will Brereton Diaz join a decent club? He’s linked with Leeds so he may not be moving up many notches from gutter level

I cannot understand why Sean Dyche is still unemployed!
He has put himself out there, even last week he said he was still waiting for the phone to ring.
Strange really...he was touted and praised by other clubs and media presenters while managing the Clarets.
Hope you get a good job soon Sean....forever a Claret.

Re: Whatever you like - conversation welcome
I think Dyche will be back in football before Christmas. October/November is when the panic buttons start getting pressed. Lampard will most likely the first EPL manager to go, though Everton will no doubt go for another 'name', rather than EPL experience.

Brilliant thread Duffer.Duffer_ wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 5:26 pmAs I posted on another thread: "I don't get the current obssession with people trying to limit content to their strict personal interpretation of the thread title. Conversation meanders, often tangentially, and is all the richer for it...imo."
This thread has no rules on staying on topic. It welcomes diversity of thought and randomness whilst respecting all the (implied) rules of conduct on this board.
So, if you want to talk about any aspect of playing style, formation, player attributes, budgetary considerations, hospitality, whether OT is in Salford or not, Chelsea's collar, or anything else without fear of offending others, then this is the place for you!

Hippos can run faster than humans on land and swim faster than humans in water which means the bicycle is your only chance of beating a hippo in a triathlon.
