Danny Ings, or Glenn Little would be good fits, but given the news today…
Let’s get Lenny Johnrose back at Turf.

Ings, but Willie Irvine's a good shout ( before he was crippled by that ******* Morrissey at Goodison).

We'd have 9 points now with Austin.
Ings would be alright as well though.

With this team now a prime Danny Ings would be in his element. Would be very confident of automatics.

Willie Irvine.
We'd only have him one season though.
Some State sponsered club would buy him for 350 million.

Re: Re-sign one past player for the current setup…who would it be?
Danny Ings (or Dean Marney )
Re: Re-sign one past player for the current setup…who would it be?
Glen Little. He would unlock defences.
Re: Re-sign one past player for the current setup…who would it be?
Ings was made for our style, so Ings.
This might seem like a joke a first, but think about it for a sec, how about Crouch in his prime (i.e. not Burnley era Crouch)? Think about it, he'd give us something totally different to what we have and he was a good footballer at his peak.
Edit-but then if we're taking players in their prime then we might as well say Gazza or Wright. So I suppose we should stick to considering their performances for us.

Re: Re-sign one past player for the current setup…who would it be?
This.
I'm not old enough to remember anything before the 70's. He fills our biggest hole. Failing that, hankin, Andy gray, Gareth Taylor,
If its a current player in present condition then Michael Keane. That might make it worthwhile putting a corner into the box and I'm not convinced that Charlie Taylor makes a cb. It might be OK in this league, but martinez at man u shows what might happen up above.

Andy Payton...We would now be level with Blackburn. Not five points behind them after three matches.
