2-0 Bristol, and it looks like they're heading for all 3 pts on Pearson's birthday.

Mendy what are you doing.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
Wonder if Chelsea fans will start booing / jeering Mendy after that

Re: Today's footie 21/8
Leeds seem to have made some decent signings.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
Yep they’ve spent the Phillips / Raphinha money very well.
Importantly they’ve backed the manager, these are very clearly his signings.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
Oh Mendy. You came and you gave without taking !

Delighted for Tuchel. He and Conte were a disgrace last week. Imagine Kompany or Dyche behaving like that.

Re: Today's footie 21/8
it just said on tv over here that at one point in the second half Leeds had run over 11 kilometers more than Chelsea - that's damning for Chelsea

Re: Today's footie 21/8
Why would Potter go to Utd when he's building something at Brighton.
3 defeats on the spin for the Hammers, and they keep leaking goals.

Re: Today's footie 21/8
City swarming all over Newcastle, and Pope will be busy today if this continues.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
I see Wood is 'comfortable' sat on his cushion on the bench. Pope must be sick to death of City.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
He would find it incredibly difficult to turn down such an opportunity. In fact I'd say more inconceivable. But United wouldn't be interested in him anyway.

Nick Pope doing what Nick Pope does.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
And Nick Pope again does what Nick Pope does from De Bruynes free kick

Re: Today's footie 21/8
As for West Ham, at least Maxwel can bring to bear his experience of a relegation scrap……

Didn't realise that Willock was so quick, he just out ran Walker.

Proper game this one, and Newcastle aren't sitting back are they, deserved equaliser over the past 10 minutes they've been on top and committed bodies forward.

Re: Today's footie 21/8
Enjoying watching on numerous occasions how City distribute the ball from the back. First minute or two Ederson walloped one clear, ten minutes ago Walker recovered the ball, looked inside, saw Wilson on the edge of the box so didn’t pass to his keeper (turned to the touchline to hoof clear and was fouled).
They are supremely good at seeing when to hoof and when to pass short. Kompany knows this of course. It’s just that our players don’t have that experience - yet. I’m sure we will get better at it as the season progresses.
(makes a nice change thinking about us copying City rather than Allerdyce-ball)

Cracking game.
Re: Today's footie 21/8
Good game this. Howe is doing a good job also. Great to see young English managers like Howe and Potter doing well.

I know he's had a bit of money to spend but Howe has worked a minor miracle up there

Re: Today's footie 21/8
Yes Utd is rapidly becoming a poisoned chalice for managers, and for me they aren't the draw they might have been a few years ago.
Potter carries on like he is at Brighton, and I can see somebody like Spurs being interested in time.
