The title is a little abrupt but let's not have this one derailed too.
Her death was, logically, not a shock but I have to say I have a feeling of shock and bemusement now that it has been announced.
Another blow to this country.

I was driving when the music stopped suddenly, the announcement followed by god save the Queen, actually made me tear up a bit.

I’d read all about what would happen a few years ago and you kind of hope she will live forever, a bit like your grandparents

First thought was to grab my 6 year old son to witness one of the major events of his lifetime.

Both of us for the first time in our lifetimes seeing a change in the head of state.

A marvellous lady and incredible servant to her nation.

And now, long live the king

It won’t be for a month and if you’re that bothered, put Netflix on or any other of the multiple options available.

I went to report this comment as it’s exactly this that gets a sincere thread and moment derailed which I find appalling. Luckily someone else had already reported it.

So what if he doesn’t? What dies a new king do to the average person? Doesn’t change inflation. People have more important things going in in their own lives then an unrelated old woman dying that they have never met.
You may have been brainwashed by the BBC and the mail but the rest if us understand life goes.

Best boss I ever had. A fantastic servant to the country, and she’ll be missed. Won’t be many folk left who remember when she wasn’t Queen.

Some very big shoes to fill now. Hopefully His Majesty the king will continue her work to the standard She managed all her adult life.

RIP Ma’am.
