I thought there were instructions somewhere but I can't find them.Bfc wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 3:14 pmAs pointed out by FCBurnley, Billy Dougal and George Bray are correct.
Re adding a selection of team photos. I have lots going back to over 100 years ago. But knowing how to add them to the message board is beyond me.
If someone on here ( which will have been outlined elsewhere), then I will add them for people's enjoyment.
If I master that, I will then consider adding interesting Bfc paper cuttings, from the thousands I have, again going back to over 100 year ago.
1. You need to have the photos on your computer. You can do this by scanning (therefore needing a scanner). You could also photograph them but the results won't be so good.
2. They need to be in a size that is just right for this message board. The photo on this thread is 640 x 480 pixels which is a typical size for a message board. If they are much bigger then this they will take up too large amount of space on the thread. You will need some sort of photo software to do this, or you could try this:

Just reduce them for this message board. Keep your originals their actual size.
3. Place you photos in some sort of folder system for your own use (don't forget to back them up on a disc or external hard drive so you don't lose all that work).
4a. On this message board, on a thread, when posting a reply in 'Full Editor & Preview Mode' (not a 'Quick Reply' - click the 'Full Editor & Preview Mode' button at the bottom of 'Quick Reply'), at the bottom of the text box, click the 'Attachments' button then 'Add Files'. This will open a window on your PC.
4b. In that window, go through your folders to select the picture you want. Select one by left clicking on it. Click the 'Open' button.
4c. You will now be back on the UTC thread. You will see your image listed and hopefully a green tick at the end under 'Status'.
You can add further images if you wish.
4d. In order to place this image in your post, first place your curser where you want the image to go - left click the spot. Then click the 'Place inline'
button and you will get the text of the image on your post. Click 'Preview' to see if it looks as you want it. If you want to move it a bit, place you curser above or below and move like you would text. If it's in completely the wrong place, delete the text in the post as you would any text and try again to place it.
That's all there is to it!
You can find all the images you have posted on here by going to your User Control Panel and on the 'Overview' tab click on the 'Manage Attachments' on the left menu.
