Victoria died 22.01.1901. 26.01.1901, Burnley 5 Chesterfiled 1.
Edward VII died 06.05.1910. 03.09.1910, Burnley 3 Lincoln 1.
George V died 20.01.1936. 29.01.1936, Plymouth 2 Burnley 0.
Edward VIII abdicated 10.12.1936. 12.12.1936, Barnsley 1 Burnley 1.
(Edward VIII died 28.05.1972. 12.08.1972, Burnley 2 Carlisle 2.)
Incidentally, since BFC was formed, every king or queen who has died has died while Burnley were in level 2 of the pyramid. But one king or queen was buried while we were in level 1. Which king or queen was that? (Regnant kings or queens only.)

Talking about pregnant, did you know that the late Queen Elizabeth was not declared as Queen for 24 hours after her father’s death, as the Royal physicians had to be sure that the Queen Mother was not pregnant. If she had have been and borne a son, then the Queen would have been Regent Ad Interim

Looks like a win tonight then. I am just waiting for Sky to tell us that Charles is the first monarch to come to the throne in the Premier League era.
