Re: Their Goal
I’ve suggested Muric needs to command his 6 yard box better and should push the player standing on him out of the way, but on reflection that’s not his job and a defender should get between the goalkeeper and that player so the keeper is free to think and move when the corner comes in
So I’m going to say with hindsight his defence needs to protect him more

There again I'm interested in which posters opinions on here you do take seriously?
Which posters do I take seriously? Very few, it's rare that I post or actually read many threads.
Thanks.

Re: Their Goal
Last season we had Mee, Pope and Tarka constantly organising the defence. It seems we’re missing an organiser at the back. Yesterday Cork should have sorted the problem. Still I’m sure VK and co will be working on it in training this week

Re: Their Goal
No way on earth is that Muric’s fault. Pope doesn’t come and claim that ball either.
At half time in the toilets Dave Burnley was telling everyone how crap Muric is and how many goals he’s cost us. A few people argued back but then someone pointed out that Dave has watched a lot of games and therefore his opinion counts more than others.
Might as well make him manager if VK ever leaves, save us a few quid.

Re: Their Goal
He most annoyed me when they had two strikers standing 5-10yds offside for balls being launched from FKs. Our guys drop back into their guys but as soon as they challenge his flag should have gone up. It rarely did.dougcollins wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 6:24 pmShouldn’t have been a corner - offside in the build up.
But that Lino got nothing right all day, he was even worse in the second half.

‘Dave has watched a lot of games’, that made me laugh.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Sun Sep 18, 2022 9:52 amNo way on earth is that Muric’s fault. Pope doesn’t come and claim that ball either.

As for Muric, he’s barely cost us a goal. Blackpool one but even then Cullen takes some blame too, and there’s barely a ball playing keeper on the planet that hasn’t cocked up at least once doing that.
On the other hand, I reckon he’s had a hand in at least 6 goals scored and another 20 chances created.

Re: Their Goal
There were 2 lad behind us at Preston who, in between tirades at Robbie Brady for having injuries, told us all we need a new keeper as a priority in January. They're going to be very disappointed.
Re: Their Goal
The bloke behind me at Preston sounded like he wanted Muric to make a mistake, probably because he could be become one of those I told you this happen characters.
Talking to a Burnley supporter on dog walk a couple of days after Preston game, he said Muric was at fault again, I pointed out that he slipped , didn't bother asking which other goal he was at fault for.
Very strange.

Re: Their Goal
Some of our fans are willing Roberts and Muric to play poorly, that is the truth.
