I haven’t listened to it yet, but my predictions are:

“People forget I was booed off all the time in my first season”

“There was a myth I didn’t like foreign players”

“I know Kasabian”

“I’m not crying it in” - whilst crying it in

Our most successful manager in the modern era, yet some of you will take any opportunity to have a pop. All clubs have their fair-weather fans, but this is getting embarrassing.

I have always liked Dyche's informal interviews - they're worth a listen. Good humour and some great insight into how he worked, but this must be his 6th or 7th podcast in the last couple of months, with a lot of the same stories being recycled. Hope he finds a decent club soon, even he must be getting bored of them now.

I have so much admiration & respect for Dyche for how he transformed our club and gave us some memorable seasons but these podcasts are getting a touch embarrassing imo.

It’s akin to an individual that’s been dumped, changes their face ache relationship (on public) to single and uploads a new selfie everyday for attention.

One or two were fine but how many has he done now, 7?

I haven’t listened to one of the podcasts he’s featured in. If you’re not interested I advise doing the same, I’ve found it remarkably easy.

Here’s what’s happening for those who haven’t worked it out yet:

Sean Dyche is being invited onto these podcasts by the hosts, who happen to be his friends and/or associates. He says yes and talks as honestly as he can.

If you find it “embarrassing” then don’t watch and you won’t feel embarrassed.

The truth is that most people who listen to football podcasts won't have heard one with Dyche yet. People engage with podcasts by finding one(s) they like and then listening to them regularly. The experience of searching by guest and then consuming everything you find without enjoying it is an unusual choice some people are making and then acting as if it's somebody's fault other than their own.

I wonder why he's in such demand. Could it be that he is well regarded throughout the game for performing remarkable achievements on a shoestring? Nah, not according to some of the football brains on here.

Personally, I find it embarrassing that Liam Gallagher is on all these podcasts when he has an album to promote..... and then isn't on them when he's actually on tour doing his job. AND don't get me started on all those book / film plugs on Graham Norton. The absolute embarrassments.

Just listened to it and it's very good. He sticks mainly to the football without the ladish stuff. If you are a Burnley fan you will find it interesting. Particularly the bit about the Chelsea game where Moanrinho lost the plot.

I wish some people would give it a rest, it's disrespectful to one of our greatest managers who brought much success to our club. Talk about fickle fans, he's gone from being the messiah and having a pub named after him to an out of work manager desperate for a job in some people's eyes. I prefer to remember all the good times he brought to our club and I will always have respect for him for what he achieved.

I'd f*cking love to chat with Sean Dyche over a cuppa or a pint. These podcasts are great!

A judgement made without listening to it? 🤔 I guess if you're watching podcasts with the sound muted then nobody is going to come across very well.

Not podcast related but does anyone know if Dyche got paid off when he was sacked? I remember DiMatteo years ago not accepting a settlement from Chelsea and they had to pay out the rest of his contract, but this also meant he couldn't accept a new job or he'd forfeit that arrangement.

There will be a pay off one way or another - all depends on the employment contract - either lump sum or just the contract paid as a normal wage until its term ends, with the probability that any new income from a football role to be deducted from the sum paid by our club

the more interesting question is, did Dyche still qualify for the development bonus when Dwight McNeil was sold - supposedly around 5% of the fee - or was that written out of his last contract?

He did a brilliant job for the club.
He will be back in football in a senior role quite soon I would think.
He’s invited to share his professional views on football in general plus BFC
He can fill his time as he wishes
You can choose to listen for free or not if you prefer
I don’t see why there’s an issue

This one is a decent listen. For Burnley fans there's probably nothing new to hear, but why would there be.? He talks respectfully about other managers, is honest and doesn't try to be too 'banterish'
For non-Burnley fans I reckon it'll be a good way to kill 50 mins on the commute.

If you don't want to hear Sean Dyche, don't listen to a podcast featuring Sean Dyche.

If England fans can't blame Pope for the 3rd goal and a poor performance then what is the point in anyone having any opinion? Nobody was disputing the fact Nick was great for us, two completely separate points so I've no idea why you intertwined them to pretend those having a dig at Pope's poor England performance were having a dig at his performances last season for Burnley. Pretty easy to see the difference in the two

Good call, but not what I am referring to.
