Re: Sunderland vs Burnley Match Thread
Great to see the teams ability to roar back from a really difficult position today.
Re: Sunderland vs Burnley Match Thread
Well as thr old Cliche goes ... It was a game of two halves
1st we were sh*t
2nd we were brilliant
Get in ... 3 points ... and my Med Veg and Rib-Eye steak washed down with a Merlot or two...

Re: Sunderland vs Burnley Match Thread
Great resolve and determination shown.
VK well done - I've had my doubts but the changes made (bit obvious tbh) worked wonders and we got the 3 points away from home.
Cracking job all around.

Totally transformed us didn't he, and a goal and an assist from the bench is a decent contribution.

Delighted with that. Tjought we were done at half time, uut the spirit was impressive. Benson changed everything. Brilliant.

That’s why VK has the potential to surpass Dyche as a football manager. He is aware and humble enough to change the picture he’s looking at.
Good man.

A game of two halves if there ever was one.

A game of two halves
One with Barnes on the pitch
The other with Barnes off the pitch
Coincidence ?

I just hope that all the cretins who moaned about possession sideways play after going 2-0 down in the first half, have quite a job removing the yolk from their faces after that display.

There’s no doubt the guy is a club legend, but equally no doubt he shouldn’t be on the pitch or bench.
Still can have a massive influence in the dressing room, but Kompany needs to face in to this one and sort it.

Amazing Win! Great comeback... stunning goal.
The fans have been anything but class. The game was nearly suspended due to our fans throwing things.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 5:00 pmGood listening to 3000 plus CLARETS having a good time.

Absolutely pathetic behaviour throwing objects at other fans. Behave or **** off home. Burnley fan or not it’s unacceptable. Grow up.
As for the match , shite first half and some real quality second half. Zaroury finish was fantastic .

Hope so. I'm sure it'll be investigated.
Unfortunately, you'd think if it was only a couple that stewards could deal with it. Rather than having to announce over the tannoy.
Anyway. obviously not all of them. But a black mark on an otherwise stunning turnaround.

Re: Sunderland vs Burnley Match Thread
Can remember years ago, in the 70s, wanting to go when Charlton were stuffing us 3 or 4 nil at half-time.
My Mum said "No" so, we stayed.
Ended up 4-4

Re: Sunderland vs Burnley Match Thread
I think there might’ve been two things going on at the same time. One was obviously a number of fans throwing things down onto the Sunderland fans, which is just stupid. Secondly, there may have been a problem with the goal line technology

50 minutes sounds a long time, BC. Doesn't it end up a bit mushy after all that time?Bosscat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 5:23 pmIts the contents of the tin count Cherry Toms in Tomato Juice with Aubergine, Courgette, Red Onion, Red Pepper & Pesto 50 , mins at 180c in a pre heated oven with 2 Rib-Eye steaks and a bottle of Merlot starter of Stuffed Mushrooms mmmmmmm lovely what a way to cap off a 4-2 come back win away at Sunderland

Re: Sunderland vs Burnley Match Thread
Jimmy Adamson's champions had a few games where we were 2-0 down at half time and won 4- 2.
