Ince
Think the FA will be sending him an "explain yourself " letter following his after match comments.
The ref was an "absolute joke" apparently. Mouthing off in the dugout all the game.
Think he might have a case about his son being fouled, but Jrod had someone haul him down in the box in the first half, and their time wasting was on an industrial scale.

Nothing better than when a team that comes to waste time and attempt a smash and grab loses in injury time.
Got what they deserved today. We were far from our best, missing our midfield and yet we still won. I’m surprised how poor Reading were.

Gobbing off inside and outside his technical area all game. Booked in the second half, him and his assistant Alex Rae could start an argument in an empty phone box. Arseholes, the pair of ‘em. Good enough for ‘em. If all they can do is set up a team to waste time from minute 1, then they got what they deserved - nowt.

I have no problem with it. Do what you can to win the game. If they came and tried to play us off the pitch, they’d have been battered. They rightfully played to their strengths and probably deserved more from the game.

Slightly unfair on his son, as he hasn't played for Man Utd.

Fine, up until your final sentence. They "deserved" nothing and ultimately got nothing. The best team by a country mile (whatever that is) won the game, but really should have won it far more comfortably.fungus_the_bogeyman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 7:16 pmI have no problem with it. Is there anyone in football with a bigger chip on his shoulder than Paul Ince ?
He moaned constantly as a player and has never stopped moaning since.
He believes the whole of the football world is against him and it couldn’t possibly be anything to do with the fact he’s just not that good of a manager.

Think this is really unfair. I thought Reading were one of the better teams we’ve played this season. Yes they sat back, as most teams do against us, but they defended really well and carried a genuine threat up front.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 6:38 pmNothing better than when a team that comes to waste time and attempt a smash and grab loses in injury time.

He wasn't, no matter how bad the ref was. There's no excuse for being so disrespectful after the game.
There's a way to win and lose even when you're hard done to and Ince has never mastered that art.

Can't really complain about Reading's tactics, we spent years doing similar under Dyche. Just trying to do the best with what you have against far superior opposition.

Re: Ince
His post match interview on Reading’s twitter is sooo salty.
Saying that our dressing room was like we’d won the FA cup despite supposedly being the best team in the league.
Sorry Paul let’s all be miserable after a last minute winner eh?

Re: Ince
The ref wasn’t the best I admit. However, I said to my brother near the end that if he followed the pattern of the first half stoppage time he would add at least six minutes on. When he added the seven on I knew we would win it. So for all of his faults it was refreshing to see a ref adding the correct amount of time on.

Of course our lads are going to celebrate, given the circumstances of a late winner.

Re: Ince
Not disagreeing with you. My point was the only good things he did in the game was to add the correct stoppage time on for both half’s. He deserves a bit of credit for this.
Re: Ince
We had a complete stone waller turned down at West Brom when it was 1-0. Can’t remember a major meltdown here or our manager sounding like Mr Ince has.

Re: Ince
The ref made two really bad decisions, one for each team although the timing of the decisions made the later one, which went against Reading, more critical. He was generally a bit weak, which went for Reading as they were looking to push the rules in time wasting etc.
Nothing wrong with Ince lamenting their bad luck. Nut there's a way to do it without being disrespectful to a fellow professional. Because that's what the ref is - snd the sooner folk in Ince's position accept them as such, the sooner we'll not have up and coming refs being assaulted and that might make the job more attractive and help increase the flow of talent.
Ince was petulant and ungracious. As usual.

Re: Ince
Surprised at the comments giving Reading any praise above, personally.
They were absolutely awful and offered very little bar incessant time wasting and injury feigning. The only footballer in that eleven on the day was Tom Ince. It is ironic that he was absolutely wide open on the counter on the left hand side of midfield in the second half, but rather than release the ball to him for a good chance of a 1v1, their keeper thought 30-40 seconds of further time wasting a better choice.
They got exactly what they deserved - **** all. It’s always the more pleasing when blatant (and appallingly refereed) cheating and gamesmanship is rewarded with a last minute goal. Stick it up your arse Ince.

So VK said theirs was a penalty. Quite right in my opinion. Does anyone think that Ince would concede that ours in the first half was? Not a chance. A perfectly balanced man is Ince- a chip on both shoulders, and as I always say, you can’t reason with someone who is unreasonable. Absolute Belmtard, and if I never saw him again, it’d still be too soon.

I said on the matched thread that both incidents were Stonewall penalties. And has been said above, this one is the one being talked up because of the stage of the game it was that, but it doesn’t make it more of a penalty than the extended bear hug on JayRod
