I take your point.....but doesn't the fact that "City" and how they are pronouncing Burnley rhyme with eachother make it a bit easier on the ear? - which is arguably the most important feature of a football chant?

In the 1980s I spent a lot of time in Germany on business, going on a few matches. There was a German international midfielder called Gunther Netze (very good player): he had a chant which would fit Jordan Beyers name.
