For when we start the Forest game without a recognized left back:

We love Vinnie Kompany,
He'll never get the sack!
We are Burnley FC,
We play with no left back!

We came up from the Championship,
We might be heading back,
But we have 15 wingers,
So attack, attack, attack!
That made me laugh, nice one.

Have we ever had an opportunity to rip off some Barry Manilow?

His name is Han Noah
Han Noa Massengo
He's got a lovely head of hair and he tackles everywhere!

Thanks mate. That chant was a little bit tongue in cheek for the people that are losing their heads 3 games into the season.

I love Kompany and I'm sure him and the team are going to be working hard to fix the mistakes from the first 3 games.

Hopefully everyone will be patient and back the team because they are going to need the support this season.

I'm liking the recent suggestions for chants.

This one is for Lyle Foster to the tune of "Hitler, has only got one ball":

Foster, he is a superstar
Foster, faster than my nan's car,
Defenders, he's gonna boss ya,
He's Lyle Foster,
He's going to score and score and score!

Walking round Turf Moor, when I was just a lad,
I saw a Blackburn fan looking very very sad,

He was an ugly b*stard, he didn't look very good,
He said he'd just come over from that sh*thole Ewood,

David Dunn was crying and it wasn't very fun,
To see Burnley win the league there thanks to Manuel Benson!

I had a little laugh and told him not to cry,
I said in the town of Burnley, we're Clarets till we die!

The b*stard didn't like that and got even more upset
But along came Ashley Barnes and pushed him into the net!

April 25th, a day we won't forget,
We won the league at Ewood and we haven't stopped laughing yet!

Hello, we're Burnley,
We're heading to your town.
We're going to bring some noise
To your shitty little ground!

Hello we're Burnley,
You must have heard the name,
We're taking all 3 points
At the end of the game!

Hello we're Burnley,
We're never going to stop!
We're moving up the league
And we're heading for the top!

Hello, we're Burnley,
From the famous Longside!
When we go to Blackburn,
The Bastards run and hide!

The thing that never ceases to amaze me on this thread is the ridiculous lack of rhythm/timing that some people have.

There will clearly be a space for a 2 syllable word and they'll try and shoehorn in something daft like "Koleosho's grandma's dog is a whizz on a skateboard"

His name is Luca,
He plays for Burnerlee,

How about everyone actually singing any of our existing songs, just for the practice? Veryvquiet nowadays.

Cricketfield was fine against Utd, rest of the ground was terrible

It was OK but the whole ground needs to get behind our team, or what's the point of saying Tuef Moor = scary place for away team? Sounded like we were in Manchester.

The atmosphere at Utd game was awful , worst it’s been for yrs and against Man Utd too !Thought it felt really flat in town walking to the ground and fan village etc , just a pretty dreadful KO time really .

The CFS is so isolated they seem to think a couple of random songs like the Benson one ( decent ) and that terrible JayR one constitutes “ great atmosphere “ Though Longside was also shocking . Expected a few of those huge ripple effect “ cmon Burnleys” but nothing . Maybe CFS should concentrate on backing the team /making noise with a few classics rather than the odd random coke fuelled ditty .

Agreed about the atmosphere being poor on Saturday, when people have been in the pub all afternoon it's almost as if the game is a disruption to a good sesh. Hopefully we won't get stuck with any more 8pm Saturday games.

Onana keeping the ball for 45 seconds at a time while our players refused to press, just sucked the life out of the crowd.

Perhaps the Luton away fixture could see the return of an old favourite of mine from years ago

Well done on ranting about the one stand that sings and also getting the word "coke" in.

Can’t argue with you there , indeed both singing and coke are two main facets of CFS.

Wasn't there last night but imagine it's the "he eats spaghetti, he drinks Moretti..." which fans of other clubs have been singing. Not the biggest fan of it but it's catchy and better than silence I suppose.

I hate it  makes me cringe but the more songs we sing the more people will try and be creative so I'm hoping its one that passes, although I doubt it.

I was sat in the home end last night and wasn't drinking, I do now understand the comments on the speed singing, 'we are the longside, Burnley' I doubt it could have been any quicker, those around me were commenting that they hadn't a clue what was being said, and we were about 10 metres away.

Hanes Delcroix chant - to the tune of Dirty Old Town by the progues, the VVD chant for Liverpool.

He's our center-half,
He’s our 44
Watch him defend, and we watch him score
He'll pass the ball, calm as you like
He's Hanes Delcroix
He's Hanes Delcroix
