Macca will you be handing lyric sheets out for the chants that have made it prior to tomorrows game? Thanks.

Seen one the other day. Credit. P Barrett
Imagine crediting yourself to a burnley chant made up
Postman pat and his mate chock ice. Power melts
Cracks me up when you see someone in the comments ‘are you not going to give me credit’ fair enough if you’re 12-14 and looking to gain followers but these are grown men

Burnley’s My Town
Tune: Dirty Old Town by The Pogues

Example: FC United singing much of the original words, but adding ‘United FC’ in. https://youtu.be/YdrFhEVfCNA
This is a proper terrace song. Come on get it going

I’m really bored and trying to think of a way we could make this song work.., purely on the basis the is the most entertaining burnley team of my lifetime… anyway, apologies in advance 😂.

Robbie Williams- let me entertain you

Dyche has gone and Vinny’s here
The footy’s great, so don’t you fear,
Get your arse to the turf my dear,
Now scream…

Benson running down the wing,
When Jay rod scores the longside sing,
At centre half our German King…
Beyer

We may be good, we may be out sight,
When we turn it on, we make the Champ look shite.
The turf is the place where the feelings grow,
When the clarets fly high, then we forget the lows..

So come on let us…us ..entertain you…
So come on let us…us… entertain you…

Not a chance in hell.
A fabulous effort but can you imagine most of the CFS getting to grips with even half of that?

Sorry but the one for JC needs to definitely be a good croon from old Frankie.

Start spreading the ball
We’re winning again
and at the very start of it
Jack Cork Jack Cork

These Championship teams
We’re blowing away
and at the very heart of it
Jack Cork Jack Cork

We can play him there
We can play him anywhere
It’s up to you
Jack Cork Jack Cork

To the NYNY tune obviously.

When you're smilin', when you're smilin'
The whole world smiles with you
When you're laughin', when you're laughin'
The sun comes shinin' through
But when you're cryin', you bring on the rain
So stop that cryin', be happy again
Keep on smilin', 'cause when you're smilin'
The whole world smiles with you

Need a better one for Benson or to actually sing the (poor imo) one we have for him. Embarrassing we’re singing about Anass when he’s not even on the pitch & Benny is tearing it up.

To Sloop John B

We bought young Manny B
And paid just a bargain fee
Down our right wing he does sail
Cutting inside
Before letting fly
I feel so choked up, I love this guy

Maybe room for improvement

Does anyone else think the Zaroury song would sound amazing with a drum beat keeping the rhythm going, especially in the interlude bit?

Really like the new mind the gap song. However, I think we could alter it slightly to

Mind the gap Mind the gap B*sta*d rovers
Mind the gap mind the gap I sing
Mind the gap B*sta*d rovers
It’s getting bigger every time we play

I've held back for a while now, but can we please, PLEASE stop making new threads daily regarding new chants / songs

As stated previously on numerous threads we have had designated threads purely for that purpose, I simply cannot be expected to keep an eye on multiple threads where samples of songs are being added daily and mostly without my knowledge.

Please if you want a song or chant to be considered, please leave it on this thread for my careful consideration.
By doing it this way it also allows all readers the same exposure whilst making it easier for me to inform people which ones have been accepted, rejected or simply may just need tweaking.

NO songs that haven't been posted on here 1st shall be added to the current repertoire.

Good luck and thanks to all those trying to improve our chants by thinking up new ones.

Didnt want to have to make this thread, but thank you for understanding.

Whilst running the risk of this thread and football chanting returning to a democracy, Dirty Old Town gets my vote. That could really turn into something quite iconic if done right.

Voted for by several posters and its well known to those in the know.

And there's nothing you new fair weather fans can do to Rick the boat.
The singing section and song variety has been the best it's ever been, so much so the players , manager and chairman are commenting on it.

In fact I'm down the Turf today, it's just as beautiful when quiet and calm as it is at its packed ferocious best

This is it. An old song updated with a new name. It works. It’s simple. And it’s designed to be sung loud like the Zaroury song.

Aren't 99% of most chants ripped off from other songs/clubs chants ...

Newcastle are using "in the middle of our goal Nick Pope" ...

Coventry fans reckoned we had nicked "In our Lancashire Home" from them.

Most chants are just reworded popular classic songs ...

Cannot see your problem really 🤣

Well you're either a Premier league fan or a fan from a far as you're quite obviously out of touch with how we do things these days.

There's several hard core and respected fans on this thread that have voted for me, yet I've never met them once in person.
I think they said it was purely down to my enthusiasm and vision rather than anything they knew about me personally.

So if anyones deluded it looks like it's you.

But if you want to try and take over you'll have to run against me and let it go to a vote, but it won't end how you hope.

Please understand there's no hard feelings in athe difference of opinions we have

My mate to this day is disappointed he couldn't get the Heat is on from Beverly Hills Cop going when Tom Heaton was here

Everytime he made a save, the heat is **clap clap* on! do do do do do, do do do do do!
To be fair we didn't have a leader type committee before so it was extreamely hard for those in the background to get well thought out songs going.

With this new set up we are hoping it gives everyone a chance to get their thinking caps on and their thoughts put forward and thrust into the repertoire should they be acceptable.

If anyone is shy I'm more than happy to be sent a written or preformed version to cast my eye over rather than it be made public or put on here

How do you get to be leader then?
I didn't vote for you.
I thought we were an autonomous collective?

Whilst I have every confidence in Macca I think convincing Oliver Reed to lead the singing in the CFS might just be a bridge to far- especially considering he is dead!!
