It was a good, tight, game with Samoa just edging it.
Very hard fought and no quarter asked. Samoa now meet England in the semi-final next Saturday.

Have also been watching the wheelchair games ----absolutely brilliant and also not for the faint hearted.

England absolutely pasted Samoa in the opening Group game but they do look a much better proposition now. Can’t see past an Australia England final though.

Wheelchair rugby league is just brilliant to watch. France look very good indeed and England v France would be a great game.

The wheelchair rugby league allows up to two people a side to play without disabilities ,as long as their legs are strapped in. Brilliant to watch as well.

They spoke to a wheelchair rugby player (two of them, actually, but I'm only quoting one) talking about what it feels like when you get rammed and your chair is turned over. He said words to the effect of "you learn quickly enough to fall on your shoulder. If you fall on your fingers or elbow or head, that hurts, but on your shoulder it's comfortable."

Comfortable, being turned over in a wheelchair?

Did you never go down a ramp in a shopping trolley as a kid ? :D

Sadly too many one-sided games in the wheelchair competition..even moreso than in the main RL World Cup. The initial England Australia game was much better to watch but the real game to watch out for is England v France which I'm pretty sure will happen in either the semi-final or the final. That will be an immense contest I think.

A good few years ago now I got roped into playing a few games of wheelchair basketball; I came to wonder if all the players had perhaps begun able bodied and got their injuries playing the game.
