Jack Cork up at the top… well I never!
Re: Average Player Ratings 2022/23
Looking at that you’d think we were mid table, not 1st with just 2 defeats all season!

Re: Average Player Ratings 2022/23
Going off the top 11 in the ratings we would line up something like this
Muric
THB Beyer Taylor
Cork Cullen
Benson Brownhill Zaroury
Tella Rodriguez
Not a bad team really.

Surprised Jay's so low considering he's easily our top scorer. Cullen & Tella I also thought would rank higher.
No complaints with the top 3 though who have all been outstanding for a number of weeks now.

I thought the same - what a miserable lot. I would have confidently predicted that I was significantly more generous than the average bear.
Then I worked out my average rating per player (based on 14 games) at 6.683, compared with the UTC average of 6.671. A table topping side and I can't even muster an average of "Good" or better - what a miserable sod!

The table only tells me there’s quite a lot of favouritism throughout the board OR most posters are quite clueless when judging the games.

Re: Average Player Ratings 2022/23
In a successful season, so far, I’m shocked how low the averages are. I start with a 7 and go up and down from there. This season there have been far more better than average performances than worse and yet for all that the listings are fairly accurate. As it is an average Benson appears higher than many of his off days would expect but his outstanding game changing contributions have garnered big figures.

I imagine most people use a rating of 6 as the starting point rather than 7.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 4:16 pmIn a successful season, so far, I’m shocked how low the averages are. Considering the number of pages on here debating Muric I was surprised to see him so high.

Re: Average Player Ratings 2022/23
Think the averages were probably brought down by all those late equalisers we conceded.
The disappointment of losing 2 points late on in the games I suspect lowered some scores even though we totally dominated the majority of these games.
You can look at this in the context that they deserved their scores lowering by letting a lead slip by silly mistakes or lack of game management.
Or you could say that for 95% of the game we were dominant, played very well and the player ratings would be based on how they did for the majority of the game.
Either way it’s just opinions
