Love to know where the offside was.
But we can't upset Qatar, can we?

VAqataR. Absolutely phenomenal, that was about 8 yards onside.

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Was it offside from the free kick?
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Can’t see the offside there.
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Qatar weren't ready.
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Perfectly good goal. Kind of sums up this World Cup. Could the ref have been offered a few quid

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Was it it ruled out for offside or the dangerous high boot (not that it was either)
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Definitely not. No offside at any point in the move. Can only assume incorrectly disallowed for foul on the keeper.

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
May have been offside when the first ball was played across? Looked level with the keeper but I think there was only one defender beyond. Would be good to actually see it back.

We'd already had corruption in the awarding and build up to the tournament, but I thought any on field skulduggery might have taken longer than two minutes.
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
I’m looking forward to hearing the reason for why that was disallowed. I literally have no idea why!!

Wouldn't worry about it... Ecuador'll probably get another.
Qatar look like they'd struggle in the Bananarama League.

Sounds like it’s been disallowed due to a foul on the keeper

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
assuming the initial header was won by the Ecuadorian player then the guy in the middle offside, however the ball doesn't go directly to him so they completely screwed that up

Apparently there needs to be two players back if the keeper moves beyond the defenders.

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
The graphic showed the player challenging for the header was offside, at the point he played the ball, not when it was played to him??
Shouldn’t matter anyway as Qatar look like a pub side.

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
GK was well advanced so I think it might have been that there was only one defender between Ecuador player and goaline

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Correct there saying his knee was offside
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Maybe all that bribe money bought them a set of ‘VAR- get out of jail’ cards whereby some Qatari royal can simply press a button to overturn a decision/goal?

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
correct hence why the guy in the middle is offside - looks like they gave it for the guy who was near the keeper though who at the point of contact was offside, no idea if he was when the ball was played though
Qatar are way out of their depth

I’d fancy Burnley against Qatar based on this first 20.

Doesn’t seem like Qatar are used to playing in this climate.
