Yes this Qatar side is well organised and stubborn defensively. Hard to see how Ecuador will break them down.

I hope Qatar lose every single game and get pasted by 4 or 5 goals and this world cup costs them billions

Still over 50 minutes left for Qatar to buy a result here. Don’t write them off just yet.

Judging from the amount of stoppage time there's going to be, they'll be able to switch the air conditioning off, it'll be that late by the time the game finishes!

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Cannot believe that people didn’t know that there had to be two players between the goal and the ball with offsides!

It’s pretty much the most fundamental part of the offside law.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 4:51 pmCannot believe that people didn’t know that there had to be two players between the goal and the ball with offsides!

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
Just watched that dodgy CGI VAR explanation. Looked to me that the keeper’s backside was playing them on yet the CGI didn’t show the keeper at all, very odd and still looked onside to me even when we know it was the number 11 given off.
The trouble with that stupid system is that if the officials want to find a reason to rule something out they usually can.

Dublin awful. The Qatari fwd is way offside for that chance before half time
Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
How are Shearer and Lineker missing that offside

Re: Today's Footie - C'MON Ecuador
BBC website coverage is saying that a fair number of home fans left at half time. Is that noticeable from TV pictures?
