Re: England
Just browsing the draw, now if it goes to form England will face either Netherlands or Senegal in the last 16, then probably 1 of Argentina, Denmark, France or Mexico in the last 8, I'm not convinced this England side will be good enough to go any further than that alas.

Re: England
I think we'll go out in the QF's which is about average for our ability (top 8 in world). If we go out before quarters its a very poor performance and if we make it to last 4 or better then its another good tournement.
I think anything less than last 4 then a change of manager is needed as whilst last 8 isn't bad if you start going backwards, especially after 3 tournaments, then its time to freshen things up.

Re: England
Am giving it a miss
Like Cantonna dont agree with the WC being played in Qatar
Watching Rugby instead which I am enjoying seeing respect for referees and no one feigning injury diving wasting time etc injuries treated while game goes on etc
VAR excellent in Rugby
Apart from m’y beloved Burnley I have gone right off soccer
UTC

Last 8
Re: England
Think they will start off with a predictable BLM knee with maybe a revised rainbow armband if progressing to the next round then perhaps climate change in the quarter finals then who knows maybe full anti Vladdy for the final.

Yet another halfwit who declines to give an answer to the thread question, but tells us they won't be watching.SussexDon1inIreland wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 12:18 pmAm giving it a miss

Re: England
Honestly I have my concerns we're going to make it out of the group stage.
Think we'll be runner up in the group and out to Netherlands with a Wout goal

Re: England
England fans still queuing outside the stadium ... some been there for up to 2 hours due to problems with FIFA ticket App ... hmmmmm
To answer the OP I reckon at least quarters but the Semi is within our grasp if we play like 2021 ...

Re: England

Re: England
I think we have a better chance than I first thought so I'm changing to the semi's at least and who knows with a bit of luck could go all the way.

Re: England
Early days yet but some of the more fancied teams aren't looking that great are they.
Argentina and Germany both lost their opening matches, and now face a real struggle to qualify, England, France and Spain look the best, but were all playing weak opponents so hard to fully judge.

Re: England
Mind you, Iran qualified from the Asia group and they said they were weak. But Saudi Arabia and Japan qualified from the Asia group as well. I think we just made Iran look bad.
