Re: England v Iran
England played really well and actually moved the ball with a bit of pace and purpose, which is all you can ask. It doesn't matter that Iran were mostly garbage. Let's hope they learn from the success and keep playing at a decent tempo against the better teams.

Re: England v Iran
Good dominant performance from England, there was a time we'd have scraped an excruciating 1-0 win against teams like Iran.
What the heck is going on with VAR though, that's 3 'dubious' decisions in 2 games, doesn't bode well for the rest of the tournament if those are setting the standard for reviews.

Does anyone know where I might get the full match replay? I was in a meeting all afternoon, so missed the lot. Iplayer doesn't seem to have it.

Might be worth looking again tomorrow, there is often a 24 hour delay with major sporting events appearing on i-player .....claretlegend wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 6:46 pmDoes anyone know where I might get the full match replay? This game was no yard stick for England as the Iranians didn't look interested, although you can only beat what's in front of you and England did that convincingly

Re: England v Iran
England are being described as heroes by the gutter press.
The Iran players probably face jail, torture and other reprisals when they return.
England players abandoned the armband cos they might get booked.
I know who are the heroes in the moral vacuum that is football.
