Having any vaccine is a waste of time because there is no way to know which strain will hit in the upcoming year. The best way to fight off any virus is to take vitamins, stay stress free and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Fair play to anyone who doesn’t let a total lack of knowledge on a subject be a barrier to them having loud opinions on said subject.

The sort of confidence that only comes with having zero self awareness.

I've had three covid jabs, mainly so I was permitted to travel, but something in the back of my mind keeps telling me that these vaccines are only still being pushed for financial reasons, mainly by the 'experts' who coincidentally have shares in these companies.

What I don’t understand is why people who chose not to have the jab seem to feel the need to become evangelical about their reasons.

If you don’t want the jab don’t have it, but why that makes you think your information is superior to that of others is just strange. I have a friend who lives in Norway and he sends me every bit of conspiracy theory he mines (and he’s in close contact with some real head the balls) about all sorts… but then refuses to even question his position when I send him published academics in the specific subjects he brings up…. So I generally just ignore him now, despite being one of my oldest friends.

T.B. , smallpox, yellow fever, Rubella etc etc virtually wiped out in UK. Is that from taking vitamins and staying stress free or could it possibly be from vaccines?

Flu is not so bad, just because between 25 to 50 million died from it in 1917 pre vaccine is proof that vaccines are useless.

Oh I’ve seen it mate. I’ve long since stopped using the BBC/Sky/Govt as my only sources of information.
Some choose to simply swallow everything they are belt fed by the govt/bbc, whilst ridiculing every doctor and healthcare professional who challenges the the information put out. Basically anyone who hasn’t been appointed by the government shouldn’t be listened to. That’s Goebbels levels of information control.
Some seek out alternative sources of information and swallow that - like the government are really lizards from outer space.
Some take both sources and try to see the differences in what’s being reported in the mainstream. Then they make their mind up, but there opinions are no less credible than anyone else because when you choose to open your mind you soon see that the information that is being peddled to get us all in a box is flawed.
We were told the tests were rigorous and complete prior to the vaccine being rolled out. How did that turn out? Was that the only lie? You KNOW where the smart money is. When more lies are exposed (as they will be) the amount of whataboutery on here will be weapons grade.

As with almost everything in life, the truth is hidden right in the middle of the two sides of the argument.
I don't recall being told this. I understood it was rushed but, in this country anyway, the short cuts they took were pretty sensible. I recall that the vaccine manufacturers would not be liable if things went wrong because of the urgent nature of the job. In those circumstances I would guess they were as 'rigorous and complete' as they could be.

As far as I'm aware there hasn't been an epidemic of suffering from the use of Covid vaccines although of course there were some unexpected side effects (blood clotting was one I recall). At least some of these were reported on BBC etc..

Presumably when the government review is completed we will have answers to how many suffered/died from Covid in relation to vaccine use and other conditions.

The purpose of Covid booster vaccines is to keep our immunity levels high and to cope with new strains of the virus.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274

If you don't trust any of this that is in part your problem but it can also affect those close to you if you catch and spread Flu or Covid.

Not had any vaccines. The whole idea of people losing their jobs for not taking a vaccine is insane and still does not sit right with me. Most people in our office have got ill recently, the ones who I know haven’t had any jabs haven’t. Could be coincidental however I believe there is a link.

I have had covid and recovered, that is worth more than any vaccine. Then you have the elephant in the room of the excess deaths since the roll out which you aren’t allowed to talk about. I’ve long since given up trying to talk to people about it. As long as I can go about my daily life unjabbed, and not have basic freedoms restricted by draconian measures I’m happy.

Maybe they weren't taking the correct vitamins. Can we ask the expert on here which vitamins should we take and do certain vitamins target specific viruses.

Apologies Bosscat but it's quite fun.

There is no need to start ganging up again and egging each other on. It makes you look ridiculous and childish. It's obvious, that those of us that have a better nutritional status can fight viruses better than others. If you can't comprehend that statement, then i worry for you.

That's a different point to your original point when you said any vaccine is a waste of time, which you have been unsurprisingly mocked for.

I am well aware that those who have a healthy diet can have a better chance of recovery from illness, but to take the great leap to state that it replaces vaccinations it downright wrong. The 25 to 50 million who died from Spanish Flu weren't all nutritionally deprived. Or maybe Spanish Flu wasn't from Spain but hiding in Lancashire and only pretending to be in Spain.

It might not help the point you were making but it was called Spanish flu because sudden outbreaks were always blamed on countries, whoever we (the Nation) were falling out with at the time… French Pox etc.

Had flu jab since I was young (had asthma for years although last couple of years I've barely noticed it). Still got flu in 2017 and it floored me for a week - that despite me taking care of myself and consistently exercising and/or playing sports for years

Also had the first 3 COVID jabs, but after contracting COVID in Jan this year, I'm taking my chances with not having the latest booster as it didn't affect me at all, certainly nothing like the flu anyway, so I figure that I'd rather not have any medication if I can get away with it

Those vaccine jabs you had may have prevented you from becoming seriously ill. It's the same with the annual flu jab. It might not stop you from getting the flu, but it can prevent the severity of the illness and help you recover quicker.

Is this actually a medically proven fact? Not being funny, but how could that be proved?
I can't believe these questions. There's loads of robust evidence if you can be arsed researching.

To be honest, Lancs. This will be my last post on this subject. I no longer can be arsed with anti-vaxers, covid deniers or the willfully ignorant.
It really is the whos whos of everyone who is against anything remotely normal and sensible

I bet pretty much all of them are huge fans of that well know Doctor, Dr Google

Just been on Dr Google and I've got scarlet and yellow fever caused by not eating oranges. 😁

OK. So I've had Covid19 3 times since having the regular jabs as advised.
so how can it be proved that I would have been more seriously affected had I not been vaccinated?
Who knows how ill I either was or could have been? No one asked me, and I'm guessing I'm not alone in this.

You’d likely be dead if you hadn’t had the vaccine.

I’ve had the COVID vaccine and I’ll continue having it, but that is pure nonsense.

The chance of death from COVID in a normally fit and healthy individual stands at less than one percent.

I doubt that very much as I have a grapefruit every morning, then run a 10k at decent speed, (45mins), and eat 5 mandarin oranges a day. :D
