Re: England v USA
You cant describe this as anything other than 2nd best all over the pitch with and without the ball. No disguising tactically we are inept at addressing the needs of each match. As a team we lack energy creativity and to some degree purpose or an identity. In truth nothing we all have not known for the last 4 years

It could be worse, we could support Germany.
Re: England v USA

I hope Foden is actually injured (well actually not) otherwise it’s the worst decision I’ve probably ever seen not to have him on this pitch

In the middle of the tournament? Well why not. It would be a first.box_of_frogs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 8:46 pmI never assumed we’d go far. I’d just like a bit of effort.

Might well be a good point in terms of getting out of the group but Jesus that was so bad to watch.

It would show a bit of intent. Frankly, we couldn’t do any worse than that shower of sh1te that had just been inflicted on us!dermotdermot wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 8:52 pmIn the middle of the tournament? Well why not. It would be a first.

Re: England v USA
Well if Southgate thought we weren't good enough against Iran, what will he have to say about that garbage.
We have better players, on paper, all over the pitch, so if they have a better team there's only one person to blame.

I might just have a bet that USA will win the World Cup in 4 years time.

Apologies for the simplest of questions;
If wales beat us, and USA beat Iran, what happens? We've all won, drawn and lost.

Re: England v USA
Painful performance and summed up all of England’s and the managers limitations.
Team limitation - no ball controller, Rice way too slow and robotic, no one setting tempo or playing through the lines
Manager limitation - doesn’t have the tactical abilities to see where spaces are and when to make the right changes

I was thinking exactly the same, file under false number nine.

Re: England v USA
Well, I think we have to lose to Wales 4-0 not to qualify, so job done at a guess
Inexplicable that we didn't use all our subs, and Trippier and Mount had 90 minutes of nothingness
Grealish at least made things happen, but that was about it

Re: England v USA
Lost for words after that performance….. Just awful
Re: England v USA
Yeah and you were crying after the Scotland game. Job done, could be worse, could be Argentina or Germany, or England under Sven/Mclaren/Capello/Roy and lose to these nations.
Anyway, what happened to protesting and not watching?

Re: England v USA
England will get out of the group, but on that evidence we won't be troubling the latter stages of this tournament.
What was really concerning was the lack of intensity to our play both on and off the ball.
Shades of the summer when England struggled to break down organised defences.
US look a decent outfit on their 2 games so far, and if they can develop these youngsters they'll be one to watch when they co-host in 2026.
Clean sheet is about the only positive to take from tonight.
And Grealish has to start against Wales for me he makes things happen.

Re: England v USA
Not a great game, tightened up 2nd half with the changes and held the point comfortably in the end.
Job done, through to the knockout rounds. Not as easy to blow away every team at a WC, important not to lose.
Shame Foden and Maddison are injured, hopefully they're back soon.

Re: England v USA
Funny, going into the adverts with the intro from “Thriller”.
Re: England v USA
Maddison is in the form of his life. It's a shame he is injured as he seems to have good movement and finds spaces.
Re: England v USA
Fans will be delighted to go back to the awful side that lost to Iceland, Turkey, USA etc.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 9:02 pmare you going to be able to cope when he gets potted in the next few weeks ?
Having flashbacks of that Rob Green error vs USA, the Robinson OG against Croatia.

So krbfc Foden isn't injured . Southgate's really pleased , unbelievable.
Re: England v USA
If Foden was injured, Southgate would have just said. Yet more ******** spouted by KRBFC.
