Doesn't Foden have a niggly injury?Vino blanco wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 7:42 pmMount and a Rice must be very good players if they are keeping Foden on the bench.

Re: England v USA
How many times have we crossed it to the goalkeeper? I'm hoping USA tire in the second half and we find more room.

That was awful.
As bad as Wales were earlier.

2nd gear, little threat from the US, pretty even game on chances.

Re: England v USA
Good job it isn't a boxing match ,tge ref would have stopped it.Must improve in second half o I can't see anything other than a defeat to the much better team so far
Re: England v USA
That first half display was totally unacceptable, give them ten second half minutes to wake up and if there’s no significant response make numerous changes before it’s too late.
Re: England v USA
That was poor from England…..really poor! Nowhere near aggressive enough on or off the ball.
Re: England v USA
Plenty of time to sort this. USA have been organised, they pressed effectively and have closed down the space well. Expect a different second half.
Re: England v USA
Talk about going over the top, the chances were pretty even.conyoviejo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 7:50 pmGood job it isn't a boxing match ,tge ref would have stopped it.Must improve in second half o I can't see anything other than a defeat to the much better team so far

Our tempo, passing and pressing is as bad today as it was as good on Monday

Ok that was totally embarrassing sitting here in a USA bar in my England shirt…. Aren’t we supposed to rank 5th in the world? I’d rather watch Rotherham waste time - at least they’re good at it

Re: England v USA
Little threat from the US, what game are you watching they were the width of a crossbar from taking the lead, and on the balance of play they just about deserve to be ahead.
Midfield weak as water allowing them to simply run forward and spark attacks.
Fair play to USA they are playing well and don't appear overawed at all.
The only plus for England is it's 0-0 and surely England can't play as poorly 2nd 45.
Re: England v USA
5 shots for England 1 on target, 6 for USA 1 on target.
England XG: 0.35, USA XG: 0.42
England XG: 0.35, USA XG: 0.42

Shouldn't have picked the same starting 11.
It sends the wrong message out. 2 or 3 changes would have kept everyone on their toes.

Re: England v USA
I’m hoping Foden comes on for Mount and changes this game, showing Southgate exactly why it’s insane he doesn’t start every game. I appreciate he’s had a few quiet England games but you have to persevere with him - he’s one of the greatest young attacking midfielders in world football.
Re: England v USA
Pulisic should never score from there, Mount's shot at the end of the half was a better opportunity.tiger76 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 7:55 pmLittle threat from the US, what game are you watching they were the width of a crossbar from taking the lead, and on the balance of play they just about deserve to be ahead.

What else have they done? Mckennie's chance in the area? Kane's arguably an easier one.
Chances have been balanced, despite them looking more energetic.

As poor as we've been I still think we'll win this with the talent we have on the bench who can change a game.

Weird i thought how they came out for the second half, almost laborious and lacking energy

More chance of Southgate selecting me than subbing KaneWoodleyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 8:01 pmRashford for Kane, Grealish and Foden on for Saka and Mount

He must realise he needs a few subs on and quick ! Shaw and Stones seem to be the only ones playing anywhere near like the required standard

Sake and sterling at the moment are not helping, dropping back nato deep to defend , leaving no out all, needs at least one stopping up
