How that wasn’t two yellows for the same player I’m not sure. Kicking the ball into the bench was violent conduct, unless the ref had already blown so it was dead and doesn’t count?

Violent conduct is violent conduct, whether the ball is in play or not.

Yes - it wasn’t one incident though. The initial challenge should have been one and then kicking the ball into the dugout should have been another. Two separate incidents, albeit in the same situation.

No! and Croatia will have noted that fact and they have the big lads to exploit that flaw, especially with Modric to deliver.

Of course that is assuming Argentina do make it through which is now looking somewhat doubtful.
