He scored twice in 7 minutes and finished his chances instinctively. I'm not sure it's just because he cares.

Got to feel for Wout tonight comes on and bags 2 in quick time, then scores his penalty expertly, yet still finishes on the losing side.

However you assess today Wout's performance has value added for BFC. I am sure Alan and Vince will decide how best to realise it.
Re: Wout has scored!!!!
Was it just Roberts who thought Weghorst had a questionable attitude?
Re: Wout has scored!!!!
Perhaps our tactics didn't suit a player who can score 2 goals and a penalty against one of if not the best team in the world ? Maybe he was right to want to leave, that said he alienated himself

Re: Wout has scored!!!!
Maybe not, but he cried when he scored his first goal for us.
Re: Wout has scored!!!!
I seem to remember WW missed two guilt edged chances in his first game for us against Liverpool. Tonight he scored a header when hardly challenged against a defence about the same height as ours and finished off a very cleverly worked free kick. Good for him. That hopefully will attract a buyer at a good price for Burnley because he surely will not fit in with the team spirit that VK and team have established now. But tonight for me was the performance of the little maestro. Magical at times.

He said or one of the best teams in the world. Hardly an outburst of ******** when you consider they are in the semi final of the WC, placed 3rd in FIFA rankings, won the last Copa America and were one of the favourites to win the WC before the tournament started.

Re: Wout has scored!!!!
Apparently Wout, he who could get in an argument in an empty room bless him, just got a roasting off Messi in the interview area, was hovering wanting Messi’s shirt who was being interviewed and Messi gave him a right look in the middle of the interview and said “go away stupid, go, go away stupid”. Journo said “calm, Leo”.
Wout certainly wound them up while he was on

Thought it was hilarious personally!
Might stick another million or two on his price come the end of the season when Besiktas inevitably try and knock us down on the price and he ends up going elsewhere.

If he chose to come back to Burnley in January I'd have him in a heartbeat. He'd tear up the Championship and give us that extra killer edge we've been missing.

Re: Wout has scored!!!!
Lots of nonsense talked about Weghorst on here it seems. He came to us averaging a goal every two games. He left us and is averaging the same. I and others have said the same thing many times, he didn’t fit in with our style at the time, and that is not a criticism of Dyche, it’s just the way it is. I for one would love to see he back and see how he works with our system. All this talk of attitude is based on no facts at all.
As a by the way, Argentina, despite the unnecessary hatred of them by some, are definitely one of the best teams currently around and from what I hear Messi is playing out of his skin for his (presumably) last tilt at a WC winners medal. Good luck to him, he fully deserves it.

Re: Wout has scored!!!!
Weghorst definitely displayed his emotion after our relegation, whether there were tears or not I’m unsure. But he’s obviously going to feel more affinity for the country of his birth than a team he has played with for less than 4 months.

A pretty lame and somewhat strange criticism of Weghorst about the extent to which he was upset when we were relegated compared to Holland's World Cup exit.

Re: Wout has scored!!!!
I'll make that two. With the World Cup over for Holland there's no requirement for him to be playing in a 'top/premier/first division' for a while, so if the loan agreement permits it I'd love to see him back at Burnley and from his point of view we're likely to be back in the Premier League before his next Holland call up, even if we're not, playing for Burnley at the top of the Championship has got to be a better 'shop window' for him than Turkey.
