Match Day Thread v QPR
I think this should be in honour of Spades.
Something like qpr versus Spades Mighty Clarets
Opening post giving a mention etc

Her Maj deserves any mentions. One of our major contributors over the years and never fell out with anybody, that takes some doing on here.
Sadly won’t be on tomorrow, going up to Dublin for the CycloX World Cup. Chance to see Matthieu Van Der Poel and Tom Pidcock up close.

Let’s keep this thread going then.
Don’t worry, I’ve had nothing else to look forward to then tomorrow’s game for a more than a week now

Doubt Twine will start, but if he even features off the bench for a few minutes that would be a plus.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:26 pmBack to what really gets the heart racing. Twine is definitely on the coach down - exciting!

Safe journey all those travelling to Loftus Road and good luck with getting a decent view to those poor Clarets stuck behind one of the many obstructions within the stand. Not for me anymore that dump of a ground!

I didn't mean this thread! It was asking for the Q.
I will start a proper one, given that it seems to be a positive response.

Imagine Spades would have quite liked you to do the Match Thread, Ian.

Done Buxton with title reflecting Spades and her understanding. A once only retro title.
It would be helpful to let this one slip down the page, to avoid confusion.

Any snow in London? I live an hour away and woke up to thick blanket and still snowing (not forecast either for that time). I assume game isn't at risk.

No snow in Shepherd’s Bush at the moment.Stanbill05 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 10:03 amAny snow in London? I live an hour away and woke up to thick blanket and still snowing (not forecast either for that time). I assume game isn't at risk.
Today I wouldn’t mind some football as good as we saw in the run up to the first goal in this game…

Sadly 4 of us are stuck on the south coast! No trains due to the combination of ice and electric
Re: Match Day Thread v QPR
Sadly, the board lost its Christmas spirit and removed the special Spades thread. A real, real shame.
Sorry Spades. Here's to you. Up the Clarets.

May I ask about why dedication to Spades?
Re: Match Day Thread v QPR
Only to be expected ... hasn't really featured (which is a shame the lads a goal poacher ) but his parent club rightly want players they send out on loan to get game time.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 12:09 pmSuggests to me that Dervisoglu will not be with us in the New Year
Maybe Gyokeres in to replace him

Re: Match Day Thread v QPR
Great decision to bring Benson on from the bench. All teams will tire after 60/70 minutes until they’re back up to full fitness. To have him bring him on will be a big worry for them.

Re: Match Day Thread v QPR
So our training games were Huddersfield, won 1-0 (Cork) and Twine/Churlinov both played 45 minutes, and WBA where we played mainly U21’s and lost 3-1 (Barnes). Both Churlinov and Twine featured but not sure how much time they got.
Let’s hope that the prep pays off.
