Re: Peace on Earth
How many people thought we’d be top at Christmas when VK got appointed? I know I certainly wasn’t one of them.

Same here. He's showing a remarkable ability to learn from errors and we keep getting better.Milltown1882 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 5:13 pmHow many people thought we’d be top at Christmas when VK got appointed? I know I certainly wasn’t one of them.
I was sceptical in the extreme but he's doing an amazing job. Exceeding expectations is putting it mildly.

Re: Peace on Earth
Just seen a close up replay from behind the goal. Roberts is nowhere near handling the ball even though he did wave his arm at it. This Red will definitely be rescinded

Re: Peace on Earth
At the risk of stating the obvious, a draw in tonights game would have us 10 points clear of the important 3rd place at exactly half way.
Good that, innit.

Re: Peace on Earth
As for expectations when VK was appointed, I wasn't anywhere near thinking we would be this good. A long way to go and we need to cut out stupid errors like their goal today but I am really optimistic about the rest of the season.

The league screenshot was during the game, so the past 5 games form won't include the Middlesbrough.

There will never be Peace on Earth because human beings are absolute ****.
Nice table though.

Re: Peace on Earth
That red card and penalty could have cost us points. That wouldn’t be rescinded in any eventuality.

Thought they had a good shout for a penalty at 0 - 1 down, could have been a very different story then.

Re: Peace on Earth
I did top and clear by Christmas
Re: Peace on Earth
Ten point gap from playoffs having played everyone once is completely ridiculous. I'd usually be like, 'don't get carried away, lots of football to play blah blah blah', but let's be honest, we're basically up.
