Sad news on M62
Road is closed near Huddersfield due to fatal crash. Obviously less important, but will probably affect quite a few travelling to the game

Re: M62 closed
Was on a half day from work (near Chesterfield) and have had a crazy drive due to this to get to Todmorden to pick my Dad up for tonight. Ending up going through places I didn’t even know existed (Queensbury?!, Foxhill?!) and came out from in Mytholmroyd via Midgley. Sad news indeed and you’re right, this will cause anyone coming from the M1 to the M62 ala myself a ton of trouble.

Coming from Leeds and it is a nightmare. Fortunately off work so set of a 15:00 hoping to go to the Christmas first, Think we will go straight to the ground now.

You were lucky, Queensbury usually still has winter snow left in June!jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 3:28 pmWas on a half day from work (near Chesterfield) and have had a crazy drive due to this to get to Todmorden to pick my Dad up for tonight. I had to rescue my brother from Queensbury before the Arsenal cup game in 2009. He was there for a meeting and couldn't move his car after it had snowed in the afternoon.
