Sad news on M62

Road is closed near Huddersfield due to fatal crash. Obviously less important, but will probably affect quite a few travelling to the game

Was on a half day from work (near Chesterfield) and have had a crazy drive due to this to get to Todmorden to pick my Dad up for tonight. Ending up going through places I didn’t even know existed (Queensbury?!, Foxhill?!) and came out from in Mytholmroyd via Midgley. Sad news indeed and you’re right, this will cause anyone coming from the M1 to the M62 ala myself a ton of trouble.

You were lucky, Queensbury usually still has winter snow left in June! :D

I had to rescue my brother from Queensbury before the Arsenal cup game in 2009. He was there for a meeting and couldn't move his car after it had snowed in the afternoon.

I've witnessed snow in Queensbury, in June. Proper falling out of the sky snow.
