Support at Stoke

Post by Conroysleftfoot » Sat Dec 31, 2022 8:08 am

Wanted to give a shout out for the away support at Stoke. Thought it was superb last night, came across loud and clear on tv.

Particularly after an hour on the red button. Before that, they were pretty quiet

Sounded loud all the way through.

Didn't have any sound for the first 10 minutes mind.

It’s a really soulless ground, but generally when I’ve been Stoke have been loud.

Understandably the atmosphere there at the moment is dire

A special shout out to the young lad stood behind me who appeared to wake up around the 75 minute mark and becoming very vocal about how much of a disgrace we had been for 90 mins and that we shouldn't be happy with being 1-0 down to Stoke

Both sets of supporters though to be fair I did had the volume muted for the first half.

I don`t honestly believe you can judge a level of support from the box, I`ve been to many matches where the atmosphere has been brilliant but hasn`t come across anything like when I`ve watched it back. Having watched last nights match on the box and having seen sky highlights, the lad who did the Stoke Vlog it came across different on each one, Having been to all the home matches and about half the away games what I can say is our support right from opening day has been absolutely brilliant, well done to all, keep it going. The new players and songs (along with us winning) has brought about a really upbeat atmosphere from our following this year. Even if nothings happening there always seems to be an anas song going..!
