Watching Swansea Vs Burnley

Post by Awayfromburnley » Sun Jan 01, 2023 10:06 am

I cannot see anything on the official site, is there any information as to if this is a £10 streamed game?

The Swansea website says that it is available to overseas fans only and will not be shown in the UK.

I believe it’s on the Sky red button.

My thoughts are that it is not a Saturday and there are no other Prem games on.

Norwich v Watford is the listed game on Sky so realistically it should be on the red button on there?

If it is this will probably increase your chances of picking up a decent stream even if you haven't got access to a red button.

I used the Clarets+ stream the other night as i was away from home and it worked fine for me on the ipad . my only drawback was I couldn't find a way to cast it to the smart tv where I was. Not the end of the world and sure beats teletext.

The other option that people mention if you cant purchase the stream from Clarets + is to use a VPN. Not tried that but use a VPN for streams which seems to improve functionality.

According to the Sky website, it definitely isn't on the red button.

https://www.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky

No idea why some games are on the red button and others aren't.

Swansea are saying that due to EFL rules, the game cannot be shown in the UK.

I used the clarets+ stream v Stoke on my smart tv using the smart tv browser and it was perfect.

I was stopping at an Airbnb and had streamed something from the ipad to the smart tv there earlier in the day so knew that it should have been able to.

Just realised what you mean. Direct on the tv rather than casting. Good shout and derrr on my part!

According to EFL it is up to the home team so not EFL rules. Poor on Swansea part

You can pay a tenner and then use a VPN to stream it via Cardiff’s site.

I did this for the Wigan away game earlier in the season. If it’s like Wigan, you’ll need to sign up on their site to do this.

Same. Hate sky. I couldn't get the red button for our game v Stoke no matter which device I used so ended up watching the 2nd half on a stream... Sky Go is crap as well

I’m new to sky go. Recently nicked a login off a relative. Tried and failed to watch the Stoke game through sky go and through the website. It kept asking to download a desktop player but I was on an iPad. Is there some step I’m missing? If it’s on the red button do I have to watch via a sky box or PC?

Without wanting to sound pedantic, and I ask sincerely - how will that work when we are playing Swansea?

You had to watch through the Sky Sports app, not Sky Go. The stream was simple to find and was very good quality with no issues.

The bad news is, we're not listed for red button coverage. The only difference that I can see with the other games that are is that we're in Wales - different legal system? I don't know the reason.

Could be they've simply forgotten to include our match in the listings and we do end up being on the Red button. Here's hoping.

You have to make sure you are on the right channel if you are not it will only give you info of the premier league game if one is been shown, I struggled to get the stoke game but found it eventually

I have an ipad and the match was listed but not on the tv listings. You went to the home page and scrolled down a few rows to live sport? and it was listed there.

I've found it much easier on the Sky Sports App - the red button games are generally the first thing you see on the home page.

You didn't use to be able to watch the red button games on Sky go (although above someone has said you now can). I downloaded the Sky Sports app onto my phone a while ago and also onto my laptop and tablet. When we played a few before the worldcup, they worked, however against Stoke none of them worked when trying the red button - again, according to some above, it worked for them.

RE the desktop player, yes you need to download that if you watch it via the app (i.e. not on Sky Go - 2 seperate things)

Has anyone bought the single game international pass for any games this season? Do you know if you can watch that match on replay afterwards? Would be good to watch the replay spoiler free in the morning rather than stay up to watch it with the time difference.
Cheers
