Re: TIP
I have followed John Quinn and his horses for a number of years,El Astronaute, Mr Waggu and of course Highfield Princess have done me proud.Quinn and MNN have a very good record at Chelmsford.Horse is an all weather specialist and has the best draw in stall one and she had a nice 8-1 win at the track some months ago. Prize money is 8K for the winner.Very short price is understandable.I won’t be placing a bet but a worthy favourite.

5-4 favourite.
Not many will class that as a tip.

Re: TIP
A tip can be any price.
The longer the odds the less likely that it really is a tip.
When a horse has not run for a few months like this one I’m assuming that the tip is about how it’s performing at home and that they fancy it to pick up where it left from in its previous races.
But like anything if you think a tip has to be longer odds than this one don’t back it.

Re: TIP
These things are all relative... you could place a bet on dog racing.
Actually, my Grandfather used to say that dog racing was a safer bet than the horses: "The dogs have one less person trying to stop them than the horses do."

Re: TIP
5/4 a bit too skinny for me but a 5/4 winner is a lot better than an 8/1 loser

Betting on a tip - you might as well throw your money into a council tip!

Re: TIP
as has been pointed out, the point here in the tip is nothing to do with form, or odds, or source, but a tongue-in-cheek "bound to win because the horse is named like one of our songs."
My tip is if you don't understand the thrust of the topic, don't post to make it antagonistic or contentious, just go with the fun

Think the OP said it not just the name but also the info on the horse.NRC wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:40 pmas has been pointed out, the point here in the tip is nothing to do with form, or odds, or source, but a tongue-in-cheek "bound to win because the horse is named like one of our songs."

It’s a strongly fancied horse by the racing correspondents anyway - and they can’t all be Clarets !!
Re: TIP
For me the info and name go hand in handBig Vinny K wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 4:44 pmThink the OP said it not just the name but also the info on the horse.

But people like to take a second out of their day to put something down. They cant help themselves.
Theres some very strange folk about who just dont like other people giving a view

Re: TIP
I have not her TIP, it’s been making a lot of money this season.
Just do a double, Burnley and Sheff Utd to win each weekend.

Re: TIP
Good performance by MNN.3 wins on the bounce at Chelmsford for her. Very much an All Weather specialist, she has never won on the grass. One to follow if only for the song connection!
