Back from staff- who is this guy?
I was certain he was on a flight to Belgium with me in the last pre World Cup international break.
Would love to know…!

Can't help you with the guy at the back, but the lad in front with beard is Iain Wharton, he was in my class at QEGS

Back from where?
Re: Back from staff- who is this guy?
I think it’s because that guy has been seen many times on games walking to the dug out. If you attend games, you’ll have probably seen him too.Loyal Supporter wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 11:18 pmNotice how the only question about the backroom staff is about the black member of staff.

The reason why he’s being asked about is written as clearly as possible in the OP. If you’d rather assume the OP is lying about the reason to cover up his racism, that’s up to you but it doesn’t make it fact .

Am I missing something here? Are there not light-hearted comments about Harry Kane lookalikes and all backroom staff having beards?Loyal Supporter wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 11:18 pmNotice how the only question about the backroom staff is about the black member of staff.

Re: Back from staff- who is this guy?
Perhaps the Op knew who the other chaps in the picture were? The bloke has been pointed out to be Vinny's childhood mate. No one mentioned anything about his skin colour.Loyal Supporter wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 11:18 pmNotice how the only question about the backroom staff is about the black member of staff.

To suggest that this board is "intrinsically racist" is a poor comment. I certainly am not racist, nor do I discriminate or prejudge anyone, I find your comment out of order and uncalled for.

Perhaps he’s Vinny’s “spare”…………there’d be a book out soon saying despite scoring goals every week in 5 aside on Townley and leaving The Cats with a stunner, he knows he’ll never be manager!!

Anyone who can wear shorts, T-shirt and a gilet for the game at home vs Middlesbrough must be worth their salt as a body guard. I was one Benny and hot away from freezing to death that game!

A full apology from me. I clearly read the op wrongly and I retract all of my comment and will be less judgemental in future.
I am the person that has experienced racism in the stands this year and I overreacted with my comment.

I am sorry you experienced that, completely unacceptable that anyone experiences racism nowadays, sadly we all know it is still about.Loyal Supporter wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 8:09 amA full apology from me. Re: Back from staff- who is this guy?
We live in more enlightened times . Things we used to say aren’t acceptable anymore we all had to change. Gone too far in stopping some jokes because that’s all they are. But I agree on message boards and at footy games why would you have racist thoughts. There’s so much better things going on !!mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 8:48 amI am sorry you experienced that, completely unacceptable that anyone experiences racism nowadays, sadly we all know it is still about.

I like the way an innocent question by the OP is followed by the racists remarking on and making it an issue about his skin colour....

Re: Back from staff- who is this guy?
Only one person remarked on his skin colour and he apologised and accepted he was being oversensitive after facing racial abuse himself on the turf so stop being a knob and making more of it than is necessary

Re: Back from staff- who is this guy?
I just had an innocent question as I wondered who the guy is, as KSR said above I see him every game walking toward where I sit in the Bob Lord and was keen to know who he is.
I used to know/ recognise everyone in the dugout, these days there are still players that I’m trying to out a name too due to all the summer change.
An innocent question and I’m certainly not the type of person to ask a loaded question to try and get a reaction- I have better things to do.
Thanks for the genuine answers.

Thanks for asking the question as we have been pondering it too ... Find it odd that any question like this all of a sudden brings out accusations of racism says more about those accusing racism than the original question ... but the apology was genuine and very well put
