The problem is he keeps upping his price tag.

Re: Jordan Beyer
Potentially the best defender we’ve seen this lifetime for us. He’s an absolute joy to watch. If we sign him he is going to take us into a top half prem team and I fully stand behind this statement.

Just waiting for the Blau character to suggest that we should play him in midfield.

Re: Jordan Beyer
What’s the deal with Monchengladbach- do they not rate him or something?
Re: Jordan Beyer
Never been so excited about a player since we signed Kevin Long
If we can keep him for half as many seasons he will become a true legend
Way above Championship level - looking forward to hopefully seeing him next season

Re: Jordan Beyer
Just watched his post match interview. First ever first team goal he has scored and all he cared about was the team performance and that we won. Really grounded and been teriffic so far. Would love us to make him a permantant signing.

Can see it here if interested, his interview is after VK's and starts about 1:40. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8GKph8 ... otballClubburnleymik wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 10:36 pmJust watched his post match interview. Re: Jordan Beyer
Doesn't score enough goals for me and not gonna let his header today cloud over that fact

So you think he's as good as Jesus?jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 10:46 pmWe need to move Heaven and Earth to get him nailed down. ASAP.
Re: Jordan Beyer
Yeah but that’s THB holding him back. In games he’s played without THB it’s one start one goal.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 10:49 pmDoesn't score enough goals for me and not gonna let his header today cloud over that fact

Re: Jordan Beyer
He's brilliant, but his mis hit back pass to Muric was crap on his part today and he still ranted at Muric!! Should have held his hand up tbf and acknowledged his blunder. Great to see him making amends by scoring though!
Re: Jordan Beyer
Really settling into his role and think he’ll be a great player for us, get the feeling we’ll be signing him. I’m really enjoying his post match interviews, comes across well, very honest and I liked the way he said Charlie Taylor had his back when he messed up.

I like how annoyed he was with himself during the interview for getting one phrase wrong in his otherwise perfect English

A true defender. I’m surprised he didn’t say, “I’m happier with the clean sheet”.

Re: Jordan Beyer
IMO I think the reason we are signing more young central defenders is that it is unlikely we will sign Bayer, because they will want more than we are willing to pay when VK can develop other CH’s to be as equally as good at a lower price .
As you expect from this brilliant manager and coach - planning ahead.

Re: Jordan Beyer
That really struck me too … I though it was an excellent interview from a player who comes across as intelligent and mature beyond his yearsBleedingClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 8:44 amI like how annoyed he was with himself during the interview for getting one phrase wrong in his otherwise perfect English
