My father in law is loving him. Wonder how much we could get for him?

Re: Bobby Thomas
Are there any of our ex defenders who didn’t score today? I had to put a few quid on Trippier this evening.

Appears they have an option to make it permanent.

Re: Bobby Thomas
As long as we sell Bobby for proper money
The previous board had a poor record in getting top money for our players

Re: Bobby Thomas
It shows how far we’ve come that an up and coming young player doing well in the 3rd tier is not likely to get a sniff of our 1st team even as 4th choice.
Probably best for him to move there permanently for an ok sized fee.

Re: Bobby Thomas
The initial money gained is really of little importance compared to sell on clauses or even a buy back clause.

Re: Bobby Thomas
We should put a sell on clause if we decide to sell him so we don't lose out , if he is doing really well I wouldn't rush into selling him as we don't know if THB will be with us next season.

For me McNally is higher up the pecking order, and getting rave reviews in a higher league

Re: Bobby Thomas
Really pleased he's doing well. He needed these loans and he'll probably need a permanent move too given the central defenders we now have at the club. Al-Dakhil is younger than him, Beyer not much older (should he stay) while we've also got Egan-Riley who is younger than him.
If Barnsley don't go up and the deal doesn't go through, I can imagine a number of Championship clubs being interested in signing him.
Joey was being Joey again, that's two central defenders he's taken on loan from us who have left abruptly, the other being Jimmy Dunne at Fleetwood.

Re: Bobby Thomas
I’ve missed them if there have been updates - do we know how CJ Egan Riley has been doing, north of the border, and what position he has been playing?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 10:48 amReally pleased he's doing well. Andre Gray and Chris Wood went for peanuts.
Lots and lots and lots of peanuts.

Been getting decent reviews off fans.
He’s played 5 times so far - at right back, centre back and central midfield!

Re: Bobby Thomas
Saw an interview a couple of days ago and he said he plays in a different position every day but he's loving it because he's getting first team football.

Re: Bobby Thomas
If we've been smart about this, the clause should be first option on re-signing him, not a straight sell on fee.
