Preston vlog
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIY8Io84WYE
4 minutes of interbred chants, then six minutes of realisation how good we are
Very fair towards us, praises us for having the "best home fans in the league"

Re: Preston vlog
I don't think it's disingenuous to say that at least half of their chants yesterday were aimed at insulting us.
Watching this vlog makes me realise how many of our current and newer songs are about celebrating our team and our players as opposed to slandering the opposition. It's wonderful to hear.
A bit off topic but I just wish some of our lot would put an end to that darn Jack Walker chant once and for all.

Re: Preston vlog
Happened to be around the back of the longside when the Preston team coaches arrived. There was an embarrassing knot of PNE fans going through the Flintoff routine concerning additional digits and inbreeding. None of those getting off the buses acknowledged the fans….maybe under instructions from Lowe. Other than singing ‘we’re f***ing sh*t’ we didn’t hear very much from them after the 15th minute

I thought they would have grown out of all that infantile interbred chanting, it's a bit embarrassing tbh

I think it has been covered on here before but if we are being strictly accurate I suspect they don’t mean ‘interbred ****’ but ‘inbred or intrabred ****’

Re: Preston vlog
I have to say I cringed a bit after the end of the Norwich game when a group of our lot persisted with the ‘I can’t read and I can’t write’ tractor song. It seemed gratuitous after a 3-0 win and the irony that Norwich was the first UNESCO city of literature in England was not lost on me.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 11:39 amThought exactly the same when I watched it. Re: Preston vlog
Still remember back in the day someone on PNE online spelling it "interbread" and getting absolutely rinsed for it
Thought it was fair enough the vlog btw, I know the chants are going to be on it, but its his opinion of us that I watched it for

Chanting we have 6 fingers is a disability hate crime. Chanting that we are the victims of a sex crime is classic victim blaming. Where are the FA? More concerned with “Chelsea rent boys” and “we can see you holding hands”.

Most of the fans doing the chanting seemed to be youngsters so it's all a bit new to them I guess.Ric_C wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 11:56 amA story in two parts:

To be fair, we can count the number of goals we have scored against Rovers and PNE at home on one hand.....Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 3:30 pmChanting we have 6 fingers is a disability hate crime. They don't have any genuine songs of their own though have they? God knows what they sing at other games without the extremely old/boring yer mums yer dad nonsense.. Not much from what I have been told. They've become a bit stale and tinpot in my eyes.

Re: Preston vlog
Preston fans are bit like a modern day Stockport.
If they actually thought about what they sing there is a chance that some of them might work out just how dumb and moronic they sound. It is weird that they think it either makes sense or would annoy anyone. I do enjoy the dingle tag though, imagine trying to use it as a putdown then in the very next breath whinge that they are light years ahead of us.

Having never been in the cricket field stand, I thought the view of the two packed newer stands during the vlog was amazing
The atmosphere within the cricket field stand was also first class
Such a pity we could not put an extra tier on the Bob Lord stand to make it blend in better with the rest of the sides

Re: Preston vlog
I can't even think of a Burnley song about PNE or any team other than Blackburn.
I'm curious to know how many other teams actually name us in their songs? Do PNE sing about us when playing other teams? I believe Stockport and Plymouth do but I couldn't tell you what they sing.

1. Good on ya for wearing a rainbow-badged beanie
2. impresses even more for running for charity
3. in my hall of fame for telling the schoolboys to "grow up"
4. wait..... inbred songs? Really? You're back to zero rating

Re: Preston vlog
In vlogs by opposition fans we are often praised for the variety, and quantity, of our singing. OK, so none of them are BFC originals BUT we can be quite inventive about the way we adapt chants to circumstances, especially away (though the 1-2-3-4 song was well thought out on Saturday). So many teams just seem to have 2 or 3 songs, all PC, that they just sing on repeat - it's like listening to Heart radio.
