Not a great first half, ref rubbish, they are basically trying to beat us up on their w@nk pitch so it’s easy to see why they are so effective especially at home.

Luton haven’t been that good tbh and hopefully as the second half progresses we can get more control of the game with impact subs to come on. Without wanting to use a cliche, the first goal is going to be huge in this game!

Because they’re going long all the time it nullifies our pressing game

Missing Zaroury and it might not be a popular opinion on here but despite some of hos recent good play to many moves slow down or break down with Barnes and we are just not as fluid with him coming deep as we are with Jay.

Id have Zaroury for JBG and Obifemi for Barnes. That said Luton are executing their gameplan very well and one goal could definitely nick this
Agree DA, Barnes been poor that half. I will credit him with winning a few big headers from their set pieces though.

That once chance a side it’s been a fairly tight even contest. We are trying to play whilst they are more direct. Barnes in the 10 isn’t working. There have been periods where he has had loads of time on the ball but not used it well enough to help us build any momentum. However I don’t think VK will be too dissatisfied as he knows this was about being resolute and solid and earning our right to play our football.

And bypasses their average midfield-passing. It's a good tactic against a side you know is better than you.

Tella looking very lightweight against their defenders
He will do when playing down the middle against big CB's

He needs to be out wide with Zaroury on the other wing

This. Although I think we need Barnsey’s physicality for defending set pieces.
Can we really afford a defensive CF?

The match is in the balance at half time. We are giving as good as we get against this tough physical Luton side which I’m hoping is a good thing.

One of the hardest tests of the season.

Come on Burnley!

Too fast, too physical and too frantic for our style of play.

Need to impose ourselves on the game and take the sting out
of their undoubted enthusiasm. I just hope they fade a bit and
cease to impose there style of play on the game. Wingers needed
for last half hour.

We can get something out of this, but need to stop getting involved
in the kick and rush.

You don't get it do you. We are playing a team with 5 big cbs and big strikers. Of course we need to defend their crosses.

Reminds me a bit of the away game at Stoke this. Would be happy with a similarly scrappy goal to win it. Do think it will be a 1-goal match (if anyone ever finds the net).

I would take the same given that first half show

But as league leaders should we not be looking capable of staying in the Prem next year, and not accepting a point at Luton and Millwall

At the moment, I'd take that, Luton looking the most likely today, and we've seen earlier
how Millwall can play.

Then hopefully capitalise on those games against the others.

Highlight of the match so far was the very poor Chicken Balti pie at half time… £4.30 for a floppy steamed pile of pie hotter than the surface of the sun…

Right - second half, we’re winning this

We keep getting dragged into the oppositions way of playing. Happened Tues and again today. We need to put a foot on it and slow it down a bit.

It’s very tricky on such a dry pitch though. Really hard to zip it around.

Tella with a hammy!

He changed his luck when he laid it off for Foster against PNE. Should have scored 4. Strikers luck.
