Zaroury goal
Being awarded to Ash.
I have a selfish agenda here as if awarded to Zaroury it nets me over £200.
No visible touch by Ash who then pointed at Anass and patted hik on the back, seemingly communicating it was Zaroury's goal.
Opta have given it to Barnes and bookies settled up bets.
Not seen this scenario before but presumably they'll sort it out. Anyone know?

I also am due £180 if Zaroury is awarded the goal. Doubt they'll change it now. Crazy!

Just checked and, if you placed the bet with Skybet, they won't pay out even if Zaroury is awarded the goal after the match has ended. Madness!

Re: Zaroury goal
PA on the ground announced Zaroury while putting Barnes up on the big screen. Looks as though Barnes must have got a touch.
Re: Zaroury goal
Barnes pointed to Zaroury as if it say he didn’t touch it and it was his, weird one

They also put up Dara Costelloe on the screen when Obafemi came on.. Don't think the screen and the announcer were quite in sync today at all.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:46 pmPA on the ground announced Zaroury while putting Barnes up on the big screen. It's SkyBet. They suspended my account because I put 3 large bets on 3 fixtures (3 individual games) and won them all. I tried to log in a few weeks later and was told it had been suspended. So make sure you don't keep winning!SalouClaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:43 pmJust checked and, if you placed the bet with Skybet, they won't pay out even if Zaroury is awarded the goal after the match has ended. Re: Zaroury goal
Barnes does tend to point to whoever provides him with the assist. I've noticed this before.
Re: Zaroury goal
Aye…. If you’d put three big bets on and lost them all they’d have been inundating you with encouraging offers to part with even more.
Shysters!

I've noticed that too but he also always celebrates his goal. Didn't do so here. He just pointed and went and gave Anass the plaudits.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:55 pmBarnes does tend to point to whoever provides him with the assist. I've noticed this before.

Re: Zaroury goal
Aye, i've since read that term on Skybet. You'd think they might choose to settle still rather than rile up their customers.
Anyone know the process for getting the goal changed? Have Barnes or Zaroury commented anywhere?
Re: Zaroury goal
Costelloe is 44, Obafemi is 45. Don't know how it works but imagine it's a list and someone's just not scrolled enough that's all.clarethomer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:51 pmThey also put up Dara Costelloe on the screen when Obafemi came on.. Re: Zaroury goal
Dunno if Barnes touched it, but the credit is due equally either way. Its an unplayable ball in from Zaroury, but the run from Barnes is equally good. Without either element, there's no goal.

Re: Zaroury goal
Barnes part undoubtedly made it a goal but it still shouldn't be awarded to him as he didn't touch it. The stats people have had a mare here.
Sky bet told my brother they would pay him if it gets changed so fingers crossed.

Re: Zaroury goal
Glad they gave it Barnes. Think that’s 3 in 3 for the man that DA says we play better without. Thought his overall play today was outstanding.

Re: Zaroury goal
In the elderly stand I was perfectly in line from the Cross / Shot.
Barnes got close and dummied the keeper with the ball ending up in the corner.
Zaroury goal.

Re: Zaroury goal
A mate of mine had a bet earlier in the season on Liverpool -v- Man City, albeit with Paddy Power. Salah was clean through before Liverpool scored and Ederson made a cracking save. The actual shot was on target but because the referee incorrectly gave a goal kick, and therefore Opta didn't count it as a shot on target, they didn't / wouldn't pay out.

Re: Zaroury goal
I think from replays it's fairly clear Barnes doesn't touch it and the goalie is unsighted as well as undecided and makes a hash of it. That's what I think.

It is a little frustrating this sort of thing when betting on game stats.Cheshireclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 9:56 pmA mate of mine had a bet earlier in the season on Liverpool -v- Man City, albeit with Paddy Power. During a decent live game I like to have a bet on corners goals cards have done for year. ( odds used to be mega).
Game a few wks ago where I was a corner short. Liverpool had 3 corners not given (wrongly) keeper tips over twice and off defender once.

Re: Zaroury goal
I've watched the replay several times and concluded its deffo zarourys goal, had Barnes got a touch it would have put a different spin on the ball, as far as I can see that doesn't happen.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 10:34 pmI think from replays it's fairly clear Barnes doesn't touch it and the goalie is unsighted as well as undecided and makes a hash of it. Re: Zaroury goal
Yeah, it's defo Zaroury's goal. Perhaps to the lazy eye at opta they somehow thought the touch off the keepers arm was from Barnes?alwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 26, 2023 11:01 amI've watched the replay several times and concluded its deffo zarourys goal, had Barnes got a touch it would have put a different spin on the ball, as far as I can see that doesn't happen.

Yes, this would seem to be the obvious way of sorting this out.
Re: Zaroury goal
Certainly matters a lot if you bet on the first goal scorer

Re: Zaroury goal
AZ sort of made a jokey comment on Instagram about scoring before stopping himself and tagging Barnes - AB hasn’t said anything at all so my complete unscientific reading of this is that AB didn’t get a touch and it should be Zaroury’s goal.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 26, 2023 11:24 amYes, this would seem to be the obvious way of sorting this out.
