Of course I read it, hence why I posted it. Nah others said he hasn’t shown any basic attributes and there’s been zero positives so no glimpses. The article doesn’t say he’s been ‘poor’, more so highlighting some poor bits and good bits so far, which is all others and I said.

Re: Foster
A classic example of a player being written off before having a starting run in the team.
Have some bloody patience.

Re: Foster
Well written and informative article that.
Interesting that they've got him in January to give him that time to settle/bed in and they want him for the PL more than the championship
Personally I'd rather he got all that sorted now, because we will need him firing on all cylinders next season.

Re: Foster
We could just give him a bit of time.
It seems important to some that Foster should fail, which I find absurd.

The opposite for me but I didn’t go to Blackpool. Very early days with Foster though and some players need more time than others. I’m sure VK knows what he is doing. Would personally like to see more of Dervisoglu.

Go on then, how much time is seen as adequate?boatshed bill wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 5:49 pmWe could just give him a bit of time.

If he scores more than 8 goals in a Burnley shirt I'll bump this thread myself whilst showing my arse in Fosters shop window.

Re: Foster
Obafemi has a good bit of experience at this level, not a seasoned pro by any means, but more experience than Foster.
I’ve seen little so far that suggests he’s much better than his performance against us for Swansea.
I’m hoping that there’s plenty more to come from both of them. It’s Foster for me that’s shown a bit more in the way of potential, even if those instances were a little blink and you might miss it!

Tidy finish, baby steps and all that..

The 1st of many hopefully, and he took it we well.
Now he's got his first he'll surely be more relaxed and this should show in his play.

Re: Foster
If he had showed on debut what he showed today (even without the goal) there'd have been folk getting seriously carried away. A real goal threat, some lovely one touch link play and a handful physically. And that finish was top drawer.
6 weeks into his transition and he's beginning to shape up just fine. You could see what the goal meant to him and the weight it lifted off him. Great to see.

Thought he was better today but I still want to see him make more runs. Still a bit too much walking for me.
Re: Foster
Was there really that many people writing him off? Most people said he'd looked poor, which he had but acknowledged there was plenty of time for him to come good.

Just seen his goal online. He looked very lively onto an unorthodox assist from Obafemi. Darting between two defenders and finishing from a difficult angle. A nicely taken goal, no?

Really pleased for him
It was a great finish for his first goal for us
Not surprised that he wasn't bought on last week but this was the perfect match for him to show everyone what he has got
