Film crew at Towneley

Post by Chobulous » Mon Mar 06, 2023 11:56 am

Just driven past what looks like a big location crew parked on the lower car park where the old Towneley school used to be. Any ideas anybody?

It's for the ITV drama Passenger, it's being filmed around the Tod area

Knocking down that school is the best thing they ever did. Will watch the drama to see the area again.

Probably Brassic. They set up there a couple of times for previous series.

I've never seen them in Burnley. They filmed in Bacup.

Quite a few scenes filmed locally, one I spotted the other day was near the junction of new road near Towneley. The farm is up Manchester road, they used a bar on Hammerton street and often the long causeway that I'm aware of.

Which series? I've watched them all and never noticed Burnley. I'm not doubting you, I've just seen every episode and never thought of Burnley. To be fair, some parts of Burnley is a ****-tip so Burnley vs Bacup is difficult to tell apart.

Certainly the latest series. Another scene I can think of in the latest series was when the lady from Malaysia was dropped off by Vinny to catch the bus, it was up Crown point road.

There's a scene filmed in Illuminati which is in the town centre.

As I said earlier, it's for the ITV Drama Passenger, however, Brassic did use the car park out a few years ago.

Great new facility on the Riverside carpark, a self service dog wash. We took our Lab up there yesterday, and she got shampoo, conditioner, flea treatment and a blow dry for £8.50

They film quite a lot in Accrington. I had a chat with Aaron Heffernan who plays Ash - really nice lad. Unfortunately Michelle Keegan wasn't around...

I drove past Winfields last week, and saw dozens of location and lighting trailers parked on the bottom car park. I wondered what that was, I'm assuming it was the same thing.
