Kompany and Ekdal nominated
We won the most points, but they give it someone else to share it out.

It’ll be a Middlesbrough double for March.

Boro double for me, think scoring and the result away to Sheff Utd will sway it for Akpom

Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
It would have been us with wins at Norwich, Luton and (almost) Millwall but that late leveller at the Den gives it to Carrick. No doubts we had the hardest games in February and those are the games that clinched promotion in all but name. That’s the best award of all.
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
I think Tomasson will get it - good results, and a win at Leicester in the Cup. And they prefer to share it round a bit if they can.

Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Bradshaw definitely- scored a hat trick against 2nd in the league, then followed that up by netting their late equaliser against us, then bagged against both Luton and Norwich.
Manager is trickier both JDT and Kompany went unbeaten, however I suspect Carrick will win it due to Boro's goalscoring exploits.

Come on us!
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Happy for it to be shared around. We can't win everything all of the time. I'll settle for winning the Championship by a record margin instead

Kompany wins!

Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
We ever had a manager win it 4 times in a season or 3 months in a row?
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Wasn’t expecting that (even though we’ve been phenomenal, again) but will done to VK, his staff and the players.

Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Fantastic achievement. Just imagine if the players had clicked early season - he’d have every award and we’d be up by now
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Well he's surpassed SD's achievement of winning it 3 times in a season. Two excellent managers with different styles. When you look at the managerial merry go round we really have been blessed with both of them.

Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
As far as I can tell, there is only Chris Hughton at Newcastie ever managed 4 in a season before. Don’t think anyone has done 3 in a row before.

Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Didn't expect Kompany to win it again, the rest of the Champ will be glad to see the back of him at this rate.
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Rightly the winner.
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Great news, just shows how brilliant a job he's doing!
Re: Kompany and Ekdal nominated
Interesting - that season Reading had with record points tally and unbeaten in so many games you'd expect their manager would have had it multiple timesarise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 8:17 amAs far as I can tell, there is only Chris Hughton at Newcastie ever managed 4 in a season before.
