Before some go over board here criticising, let’s not forget we are playing against a billion pound team with a bench that probably cost more than the entire value of our club!! Absolutely ridiculous when you put it like that! 😂

Zaroury has a habit of taking a wild swing.

We’ve lacked belief in possession.
How it looks to me is that the players are under pressure. They know they are up against arguably the best club side in the world. That will pass next season.

And where even a half chance pretty much results in a goal.

Played really really well. I just wanted to finish this match proud and I'm not disappointed so far

Sure, but it's pretty easy to see that a few of our players haven't been up to their usual level. It's a shame we couldn't show the world our best, today.

At least, we haven't yet. This game isnt dead yet.

Vitinho is so incredibly wasteful and frustrating at times. Works seriously hard so don’t want to dig at the guy but lacks quality for me.

BPFs passing just isn't good enough for the way we play and especially against a team who press as well as City.

VK is a tough position though. You sub a keeper for a keeper and he's basically telling BPF he's off in the summer.

We’ve been great - stunned by criticism on here, digging players out who’ve been superb all season but are losing 2-0 at the Etihad!

The difference has been Erling Haaland - literally, nothing more. We’ve offered more in that half there than in any visit to that place in ages. Well done lads for playing your game.

Don't deserve to be two down, but that's the difference at the level City are at.

Giving a good go of it though

Tella having bright play but been too greedy/trying to do it all too much, needs to use his teammates more
Zaroury decent but wasteful shots from long
Vitinho quiet, would like to see Benson on
BPF passing isn't as good as Muric but hasn't really affected the goals. Would be frightened to keep passing short with Haaland on the pitch.
Beyer having a really good game despite the scoreline

Ref giving them everything
Jenas an absolutely abysmal commentator. I don't expect them to hide that they want a City win but he's been incorrect with nearly everything he's said.

Their keeper looks shaky and you almost think if we can get a bit of X factor going with Benson, or even a Twine free kick, we might nick a goal and be back in it. But Haaland is just unplayable, the slightest mistake and he will score. Monstrous player.

We haven't faced a press like this and it's so difficult to bypass. When we have managed it, we're creating opportunities. Got to try and make more of them as they're so hard to come by.

We’ve done really well. Been very happy how we’ve took the game on and limited them to not very much. Unfortunately that ‘not very much’ with Haaland and co is 2 goals.

I think we have played really well so far and it’s a great lesson for our young team. Absolutely no shame in losing to Haaland and I think we benefit in the long run from the experience

I tell you what - City are a one off in that league (well, Arsenal I suppose too this season).

This performance really gives me confidence about playing against the bottom half home or away. I think we’d be comfortable at that level, really do.

Tbh I think that although obviously BPF isn’t as good with his feet as Muric he’s playing to instruction.
We aren’t playing out like we usually do, he’s been told to kick long or out to the wings and if it goes out don’t worry about it which l think is sensible against city’s press.

We matched them man fir man except Haaland. I said before the game that Muric should have played if only for his distribution. BPF is so poor in that dept.
But overall I have seen enough to think we will be fine. Ext season. Key players missing. Just hope we can score

Absolutely. Imagine this team with a PL quality CM in and Muric. Not far off.
