Elland Road - Closed Down

Post by claretburns » Fri Mar 24, 2023 12:08 pm

Unfortunately not permanently, reports of a security threat has meant police have closed the ground down to the time being.

Joking aside let's hope nothing untoward is happening and the security threat turns out to be a false call - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65063522

There was no suggestion of a security threat initially, just that they were closed on police advice.

Police have a daunting task.
Could be anyone.
There's always half a million locked outside Bellend Rd whether they're playing or not.

Is that some sort of confession?

I reckon they'll find a bloke with a spade looking for hidden loot, they'll soon realise they're at the wrong ground and he's actually at Loftus Road. ๐Ÿ˜‰

*I presume only the more senior elements of this board will get this.

In my defence I left with a complimentary Burnley scarf around my shoulders.

Nah. Profiling is highly accurate and it's not difficult. For example, can you take a wild guess at the religion of the man below?

It's as easy as that really.
