He reminds me of Alan Hansen in his pomp at Liverpool. The way he carries the ball out of defence, then has a turn of speed. Very impressive.
Hansen, thiugh a super player didn't really have a turn of speed. Beyer has another good skill. He can dummy players so well. He's a fine young footballer.

Really?

Hansen was rapid in his time, maybe not off the mark but once into his running there weren't many forwards who got the better of him. His speed meant he could stay on his feet rather than diving in at players.

I thought he wasn't very quick. But what a player. He and Lawrenson were the real deal in a very talented team. Lets hope Beyer and THB can aspire to somewhere near that level. Hoping !!!

Yes here's hoping 🤞

A major part of our defensive framework this season has been the ability to keep the ball and win it back quickly when we lose it. That is going to be 10x more difficult next season on both counts, we are going to be asked far more questions defensively.

I believe the best way to improve enough to step up to the Premier League is not replacing our defence but the players infront of them, the central midfield is priority number one in the summer.
