Alan Pace ,and his family
Alan Pace ,and his family
I’ve seen someone asking them to name as many of the squad as they could in 1/2 a minute ,his kids did really well, but what impressed me was that he called them all by their Christian names, which seem to show a real bond with the chairman, and the players.
Re: Alan Pace ,and his family
What, even the ones that aren’t Christians.

"Given name" and "Family name" are the preferred terms. Tradition in some cultures is "family name" first and "given name" last. In other cultures it's the reverse.

Re: Alan Pace ,and his family
It's very formal I've noticed some chairmen actually refer to the players by their nicknames at other clubs for me that demonstrates a real connection, but that shouldn't be a slight on the character of the man or any man if he just conducts himself in a formal businesslike manner & isn't as jovial as others.

Christian name / first name
Surname / family name
That’s all fine. We all know what these terms mean. No need to tiptoe around them.

I always use the word forename for first name, but maybe I am out of touch.
